I want to know Cowboy Bepop got the title as best Anime to. I mean I like it, it is good but..... How it got the Title of Greatest of all Time would be interesting to find out
@DeantaySharlon Well, Cowboy Bebop has a gigantic effect on America because when you have a cast of classy and developing characters, to-the-point plot pieces, and awesome jazz music, you're looking at an anime that couldn't possibly be an "anime." More like the best Western cartoon never made.
Although some people tend to compare today's anime with it, calling them average, lacking in potential, filled with overused and unnecessary archetypes and fanservice (all are true, except for few anime)
@EnvyMizuhashi I see your point. And not living in America, I guess I missed a lot of the hype this series got. Don;t get me wrong I love Cowboy Beepop. I do, I think it is one of the best Animes out there. But to me calling it the best, just doesn't feel right. Then again I can't make any claim to which I would think is the best lol. And i had been watching Anime a few more years before this one. Thank you for your reply. I appreciate you putting forward your take on it. Take it easy.
I think your first paragraph here is right on the money. I think it's right to say that a lot of people don't view CB as an anime because of its style. That's not a bad thing, but then people do come back and say "It's the best Western-style animated series I've seen, but it came from Japan, so therefore it is the best anime".
I feel that your reviewing well-known anime like this means you've now bowed to popular demand Oji-san... and makes me wonder how I haven't convinced you to review Evangelion yet (But I'll wear you down yet!).
Ed, a "minor character"? While technically true, I think you're risking the fandumb's wrath their Oji-san, tread carefully (and maybe carry a big stick with you during future reviews, just to be safe ; ).
Say what you will, but to me this is THE best anime I have ever seen. The characters were perfect, the setting was nicely fleshed out, the amazing music made everything so much more memorable. I love the attention to detail in all the scenes, too, it's especially demonstrated in Knocking on Heaven's Door.
I never really watched this until about a year ago because I thought it would was overrated nostalgia fuel. I was blown away.
I think Watanabe has other plans to continue Cowboy Bebop. I talked to a friend who watched an interview with Watanabe and the interviewer said that we knew Spike died at the end of the show and Watanabe said quote,"I never said Spike was dead." Great video as always and Cowboy Bebop rocks.
@puppetmaster1011 If you are going to say a spoiler, please start your sentence with *SPOILER* or something. I haven't finished this anime yet and I'm sure a lot of people still haven't watched it too. Thanks for your atention.
As you said there is a strong taste of current and past architecture of the Earth in the planets, and I think that is very cool, especially with the distinct scenarios for different planets: Venus is similar to Istanbul, there's an Asteroid similar to Tijuana even in the Name, different parts of Mars seem inspired by Mexico DF, Hong Kong, Chicago and NY (The Movie); Titan felt like Siberia...
Not my favourite anime either, but one of them and, for me, it's the easiest to recommend to anyone.
@Warpchy Yeah, Definately, but while some of the episodes were great, there also was a lot mediocre ones. Personally I'd give it an 8/10, but then again I'm not the one reviewing ^^
See you space cowboy.

Oh and a question: do you write the transcript first, then learn it, or get it straight in your head, say it, then write it?

Is there a best of anything? But opinion aside; if there was, Bebop would definitely be a serious contender, most would agree
And dont get me started on Yoko Kanno....

to rate cowboy bebop higher than LOGH is dissapointing..
