  • What a lovely man.

  • thankyou bb

  • Billy's presence in Milwaukee was a gift. The lyrics of this tune are AWESOME and deep. One distinction in Billy's songs of solidarity being translated into US, is that in America the unions suck and are corrupt! The big money of unions in US are what will screw the little guy under cover of larger collusions of the power brokers. Shame shame shame. I keep faith for the courageous truthful seekers and speakers... A bow to Billy and a slap to corrupted unions. Expose them Billy!!!

  • After Billy supported the POGUES in 2007 I had both him & Spider chat to my then alcoholic ex wife on the telephone, they took time out to talk about their life experiences regarding alcohol problems!

My ex wife now has a baby girl nearly 1 year old & has turned her life around! The babys name FAITH! How strange! But thanks Billy, you talk the talk & walk the walk!

  • This was my sister's wedding song. I had no idea it was going to be! I was pleasantly surprised!

  • He dedicated this song to me one gig! Was in Northampton 08 in November, if anyone else was there. Great gig.

Also a blues guy called Otis Gibbs supported. Worth checking him out.

  • Bill, we keep faith in you as well. Glad to know the favor is returned.

  • Saw Billy last night in Baltimore. Fantastic show! He told us that this song was written to his fans as a way of letting them know that they (we) keep him going. Thank YOU, Billy!

  • What type of guitar is Billy using?

  • a Jim Dyson guitar. It's an australian luthier.

  • I bought "waiting for the great leap" at 13 and got the piss ripped out of me by my mates. I have never force fed him to anybody, but my wife says his love songs are brilliant! And she loves R Kelly! What a strange household of music....great song though; not heard it before. Mother of the bride my favourite

  • Beautiful. The world needs Billy right now.

  • my friend karen reckons this would be a great song for a wedding !

  • Will be played at my wedding next year!

  • This was my sister and her husbands first dance at their wedding that took place this year.

  • saw him yesterday @ dranouter with this song...

    wauw!

" a singer songwriter can't chance the world, but you guys, the audiance can! "

  • I knew Billy had another great song in him.

  • Love the new stuff. Love the old stuff. Can't wait to see him in the fall right here in my town. I keep faith.

  • though i can take or leave his political slant he has got a body of work now that is astounding - i thought this song was about a personal relationship but it is about his belief in human kindness and the belief in his supporters / fans to, in their own way stand against injustice. i am quite an apathetic person when it comes to ideology ,but with age and compassion comes a sense of human decency and in a time

of celebrity as pornography its good to see that humanity can still be found.

  • maybe it is maybe it aint (personal v political) but i just heard bb on radionz and he said he wants to be remembered as a writer of love songs not political !! so i'm goin for the personal

  • this explanation was part of his pre song banter - but i agree with you - the reason i suffer his political slant is for the sheer quality of his "love" songs .

  • suffer you must - it is only with small changes in the rank and file that will make our world a better place..one cannot do "nothing" and still want it to be different..apathy is a bad trait...(try not to vomit when you read this)

  • @aje2103 Human kindness, goes hand and hand with politics, those that seek to destroy (the right wing/conservative, as well as the so called left) and those who sek to make things better for all (the "actual left" whcih doesn't include democrats) it's impossible to avoid, as government can do far more then just ruin your life, it can take it.

  • such a great bloke! Had the pleasure of meeting him thursday, great bloke. Cant say a single bad thing against him.

  • Aye well he always talks a lot..its part of the show

  • This was the first time I saw Billy Bragg, I liked him. He talked a lot but his music was great.

  • his banter is just as good as the music :)
