It's nothing like the later elder scrolls, it runs on the Doom engine and each of the "countries" is nothing more than different weather (e.g. Skyrim = Snow, Hammerfell = desert) if you want to try an early TES game play Daggerfall, which is free on the Bethesda website along with Arena.

I've been playing this mod for a few days now. Oblivion was graphically good but Didn't have the same atmosphere. The dungeons and landscape in Morrowind were just more interesting to explore. I miss levitation now. And I think of all the factions there are to join in MW ... well I guess skyrim will have 3..tee hee. Morrowind was an awesome game. I thin with the new eye candy orgasm graphics the ES games have lost something. To people that created Morroblivion... THANK YOU!!!!

Dude, why do people think that Morrowind = God. Oblivion is WAY better as a game. I mean, personally I thought everything in Morrowind besides its setting and plot sucked. The gameplay in Oblivion is WAY better. It actually feels like you're playing a game instead of missing half of the hits that would have realistically killed the guy by now...

@Firaje Morrowind was a much more true RPG than Oblivion, which appealed to, well, RPG fans. Oblivion had much more watered down RPG elements, which was why it dissapointed Morrowind fans. It also had more freedom, more content, and the world was so much more fantasy, rather than realistic, which many found more immersing.

A good game? Yes. RPG as deep and immersive as Morrowind? No. Oblivion is fun, but it is more of a casual action-RPG.

What I really dont like in oblivion is after a certain level you run as fast as an olympic sprinter... I like my journeys to be epic and take time.. I want to use non-fast travel transportation cos of the size of the world. In morrowind.. Try travelling from tamriel rebuilt to silgrad tower on foot. You'll see what I mean.

I fucking miss Morrowind. I actually felt like a real character in that game, not like some epic god thing. The first time I went to Solthsiem, I had to explore and look for gold because I didnt have any gold left to go back lol. It also feels more realistic, because unlike in Oblivion, theres actually a chance of dying. I remember walking around in Solthsiem going only for things i knew i can take on and avoiding groups of reiklings and those bandit people.... Good old times :)
