(P.S this is what I said to myself at the start of the video:

Just wanted to teach you the traditional way to pronounce the Fehu rune. You should pronouce it something like Fey-Who. The next rune Uruz is pronounced like Uoo-Roowzs. The next one after this, Thurisaz, is prounced like THOR-ee-Sauzzz.

The sounds of the runes contain a lot of their power. If you chant the names it is very powerful for invoking the energies of that rune.

    Blessed Be,

    Volmarr

  • @volmarrwyrd Thank you for this, when you're learning it never has pronounciation with it. In the Egyptian path sounds and pronounciation is very important also. x

i know! its like the elements isnt it??? so awesome!!!

  • @annie10103 Yay! I'm glad you agreed! I felt so alone on what i had typed XD

  • In Slavic languages it is again different and solnce (sun) is neuter, mesjac (moon, although Russian now uses the borrowed luna) is masculine and zemlja (earth) is feminine.

I am a French language speaker, so my view has very much been effected by my native language. As it is grammatically necessary to refer to "la lune" as "elle", I always thought of her as female without considering any of her qualities. Had I been German, I am sure that my thinking would be entirely opposite.

  • @pupsenok It is very interesting to see how language can affect our interpretation; I had considered that before :)

  • @Pagyptsian

The fact that language affects our understanding of the world is called the Sapir-Whorf hypothesis. (I was completing my Ph.D. in linguistics before I went into law.) It not only affects our understanding of the supernatural, but of such mundane things as colours and numbers. Speakers of different languages set the boundaries between red and yellow at different wavelengths...some having them separated by a third colour called orange.

  • @pupsenok I have heard of that in Philosophy.

  • @pupsenok you mean theres poeple that consider orange like red or something ?

  • @Kyrzak12

Well, consider the colours of the rainbow. You will set boundaries between the colours at red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet. You have seven colours, whereas in a different language, there may be eight colours. Moreover, the boundaries will be at completely different places...and one of those colour boundaries could be right in the middle of what you consider green. Colours represent a continuum without any real boundaries other than the ones we impose.

  • @Pagyptsian

Indo-European had three genders: masculine, feminine and neuter. Proto-Semitic had but two: masculine and feminine, so when it came time to use a pronoun for the "One True God", it was either He or She. Uralic languages, like Finnish and Hungarian, have no gender whatsoever. The same pronoun means either he or she. The word for God has no inherent grammatical gender. Not even the word for obviously female entities, like cow or vagina, has gender.

  • The interplay of gender and the heavenly bodies is played out in the Indo-European languages. In Latin, sol (sun) and mundus (earth) are masculine and take masculine concords. In contrast, luna (moon) is feminine. The same applies to modern Romance languages, like French. In Germanic languages, Sonne (sun) and Erde (earth) are feminine and Mond (moon) is masculine.

  • twilight poster.....

  • @stardustlia I know... I am ashamed :P

  • @JezusSlave

  • Merry Meet! I have recently been re-dedicating myself to the practice of the Craft, which I began in 1993. As part of this renewal it's been wonderful to find some wonderful community available through the web. What a joy to find your video posts. You & the other's I've found here have inspired me a lot. Your insights are very informative & make me excited to engage in my personal practice again. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. You're very magickally enchanting.

  • @JoePerezFilmDirector That is really great to hear!! Blessings on your path!

  • the full moon is a very symbolic and beautiful thing in wicca, it is not only for the goddess but it also represents how the sun passes light to the moon and then to the earth in other words " the god passes light to the goddess and goddess then passes light the earth all in perfect harmony. Just lying in the moon light during full moons makes me feel as if i am being cradled in her arms

  • @Eric90621 Very well said, that was beautiful :)

  • @Eric90621 I'm glad I'm not the only to feel that way! I love that feeling and enjoy it at every chance I get. Sometimes during full moons I spend the night outdoors just to feel that she is with me.

  • I dance in naked under the full moon ,strangely police did not agree with my rituals ! :(

  • @HOBOCTSARANDCO Oh dear!! How embarrising. Do you have a garden instead?

  • This must have been before you really began the Tameran path?

  • @KhalidKheper Yes, quite a while before :) It's good to see my development though!

  • ur pretty =)

  • @wewachywachy Thanks.

  • i have a questen:

    is wicca a religion?

or is it just a kulture?

  • @oleksandra666 Wicca is a religion. It is based on many old traditions and cultures and brought into a unified modern context, formed properly in either 40's of 60's (I forget ^^). I suppose the old traditions and beliefs it is based on are a part of ancient/old culture.

  • @Pagyptsian ok,thanx

  • Stop the persecution of people accused of witchcraft in Africa.

  • @dglshenry4 If it was in my power I would. It is such a sad thing :(

  • great job my lady, thank you for shareing with your viewers. blessed be

  • @wildchooch Thank you! :)

  • so for a court case one would want a full moon? or a new moon?

  • @Greexicana Well it really depends on what you want to happen in the court - for example money, or custody, or putting someone in jail... ec t.

I would say a full moon is the most powerful. So do what you plan then. And on teh new moon you can start your fresh new beginning :)

  • Are women supposed to menustrate on the new or full moon?

  • @setustraight Um well it is completely random to the individual. It is rare to fall on either moon phase as you will come on at any time of the month. Every woman has a 28-30 day cycle and will usually always come on in that cycle and no later - so it really doesn't matter about dates or phases.

We are linked to the moon because it shares the phase but no necessarily at the same time.

  • I just have to say you are stunningly beautiful and though i am not wiccan i love to watch your videos to learn more about wicca, may the gods be with you

  • @taproot007 Thankyou! And I think it is great to learn about all religions. Do you belong to a faith? =]

    x

  • @Pagyptsian Wow it took a long time to reply sorry :) and I did at one point, Asatru but I'm unsure about my beliefs at the moment and its frusturating.

  • Love the colors of your eyes, they're very pretty. Blessings. xo

  • Thankyou =]

    x

  • Honestly, I actually never do spells. I used to be I don't anymore. I would If I totally needed to, but I don't feel like I do.

    x

  • @PraisetheLord83 I do have facebook but I don't add anyone I don't know. If you send me a message on here I'd be happy to chat =]

    x

  • Hey , im kinda into this wicca stuff, could you tell me more about it??

me and my friend started doing some spells, but we have no idea if were doing it right, we have a book though

  • ok dont play with what you dont know i your intrested read and then learn after you think you have learned alot or enought start practicing, without that you might end up doing somthing wich did not want to do.

  • Well be very careful to start with. Spells should not be done in vain. Wicca is mostly about the God and Goddess. If you believe that the God and Goddess are real and manifest in nature then grow from there =] If you ask a specific question I'd love to answer =]

  • The student who waits to master the subject before proceeding to perform Magick, will never master the subject nor proceed to perform

Magick or for that matter anything else. Christopher S. Hyatt, Ph.D.

  • I personally don't want to cast spells. But I am currently working on meditation - once I can focus and concentrate I might move on to bigger things like invocation and spellcraft.

    x

  • my hair is red but i love that color. what kind is it? brand & color# plez

  • It's by schwarzkopf but I can't remember the shade. When this video was made it had faded a lot though.

    x

  • Whenever there is a full moon(especially Blue Moons) I can't sleep well, I just get really full of energy. The same goes when Venus gets close to Earth. I really connected to the Moon and the Goddess, even though I am a man. I love the moon!

  • I think it is really great when a man can be close to the goddess - I see no reason why they wouldn't be! =]

    x

  • sadly, most pagans/wiccans I know are close to the same gender icons(ie females close to the Goddess, males to the God) but I have always felt much closer to the Goddess for some reason. I'm not sure why.

  • Well you're not the only male who thinks that way, I know of others =] I think it is great though that you can feel close to the female!

    x

  • Well i have a question what if your jest getting into wicca and dont know how to use spells how can u celebrate with out using spells at that time?? And i have to say your really pretty. :D

  • Thankyou very much =] You could mediate, do divination, give offerings to the Goddess, do some creativity (such as paint, dance, or write), some healing work?

    x

    x

  • Oh ok thanks that helps alot. ^_^

  • you are as beautiful as a goddess, too bad you are a wacky pagan

  • At least my boyfriend doesn't mind me being wacky.

    x

  • hey pagyptsian

found ur page the other day and it was great realy informative stuff, as u will probably know this way of life is quite poular north of the border and was wonderin if ther was any sites u could recomend for money spells as ive been using spells and magic.comthanks dave

  • if a male was effected by the moon,in affected i mean mood swings(rage, anger) does this mean they are controlled more by the goddess rather than the god,?

  • That is an interesting question... I actually do not know, but that is very interesting! Quite possibly, you may have the Goddesses influence. (My brother in law simply cannot sleep on a full moon and he gets really grumpy!)

On the contrary, the moon also effects the tides and so you could have a patron God belonging to the sea?

I honestly don't know! If I find an answer I will messege back, but that has definately caught my curiousity...

    x

  • thankyou i hope you can find an answer as it would be interesting to know.

  • I love your accent where ya from? You gave good info, thanks!! keep it up!

  • Thankyou! I'm from Essex :D

    x

  • Have you never heard the term "The Man in the Moon" LOL!

  • lol! xD Yes!

    x

  • This is very informative! Thanks so much for this! I've been involved in the Wiccan and Pagan religions since I was 11 years old and I believe there is a goddess as well as a god.

Oh,btw, you are very easy to watch! Very pretty eyes! Love the hair color, are you perhaps a fire sign?

    Blessed be :)

  • Thankyou, I'm glad you think so =]

And I think I am a fire and an earth sign. I was born on the 22nd December (the day that Saggitarius changes to Capricorn) and so I vary from being both =]

    x

  • Holy Crap! You and I have the same birthday! I really didn't think I'd ever meet another "Sagicorn". Not that we've meet before but you know what I mean.

  • Oh my god really!?? That is such a coinsidence! xD

    Sagicorn, brilliant!

    x

  • This is a nice video. I'm not a Wiccan but I do bring the observance of the Esbats or full moons into my path since I am a goddess oriented person. And your hair is very awesome! It looks so right with your eyes and skin tone. =)

  • Thankyou very much, that's really nice =]

    x

  • Great vid..very informative!

  • Thankyou!

    x

  • love your videos!

    finally another wiccan

    with red hair!! <3

    blessed be!

  • :D Thankyou! I have to confess though, that I dye it :( I realy love red hair, you're so lucky!

    x

  • I had a "medicine bag" filled with smooth quarts and amber.

It got lost. I'm serious. :(

    Blessed Be

  • Oh that sucks :( I love Amber!

    x

  • Yes, amber is a good "stone."

  • I have a piece twice teh size of my thumb. It isn't reallly amber yet as it is only like 3 million years old but still it looks like Amber, is very old and is "young amber"

    x

  • when you give people the spell bags how do they react, im curious, its something id like to do but i dont think folk would be keen to recieve them

  • Well I am giving them to my mum and sister so they know about my witchiness and would understand that the bags are important. If someone didn't know I was a witch and I gave them teh bag I would say it was a luck charm? If it was a pillow of herbs to help them rid negativity I would say it's like a dream pillow to get rid of bad dreams. Act casual about it :P

  • lol, thank you for that, it helped, i did a big spell for a friends baby and i made a "charm" out of the left over wax, and its due to come down from my window as its sat in the moon light for a month, idealy i would like her to put it in her babys bedroom but i will have to bury it in my garden,

  • Well you could say you made it for the baby as a sort of present? That sounds like a really lovely thing to do =]

    x

  • Another great video! Have you ever recited The CHARGE of the GODDESS during full moon celebration- it is a very powerful act for a female to do.

  • Oh I should have mentioned that!! I have never actually recited it yet because I cannot remember it off by heart yet. I don't want to read it off paper because then it won't come from my heart (for me personally). I really want to though, I have been trying to memorise it!

    x

  • Well done,

  • I have been wanting and waiting for some one to do a video like this!!! I have been wondering so much about the moon cycles and spell work and ritual, well you have answered a lot of my questions! Thanks!

  • There was so much more I could have said but I couldn't think offhand. Glad to have helped!!

    x

  • What a great video, 5 stars!

  • Thankyou!!

    x

  • Great presentation! Don't forget at early dawn there will be a Lunar Eclipse which is on July 7th.

Check the NASA website if it's visible in your location and proper time.

  • Owh I just checked it and England can't see it :( I've never seen one before. Thanks for telling me though! :D

    x

  • Well to kick comments off since I am the first one. Yay. Great video, I love how you talked about the moon cycles being good for spell work and honoring the Goddesses and sabbats are celebrations, totally agree. And it is interesting how some cultures view the sun as being female as well since the sun is strong, warm, loving. Hope you have a wonderful full moon esbat. You gave me some great ideas.

Peace, Love, and Brightest Blessings ;)

  • That's great to hear! And I thought the feminine aspect of the Sun was very interesting too. Thanks!

    x

  • 5 stars...I like the advice on the solar aspect......balance....our goal...your information here is spot on! excellent my friend!!!

  • Awh thankyou!!

    x

  • a way to think about it solar rites differentiate, lunar melds
