love both of these movies and this song is awsome, love it and to those of you who dislike dont listen to the song you suck anyway, Right turn Clyde!!!!!
Love this theme. Many people dont realise that this movie and its sequeal were Clints 2 highest grossing films (allowing for inflation over the years). Right Turn Clyde!
Just watched these movies again. Hadn't seen them since I was a kid. They brought back a lot of memories. The music is terrific, especially this song.
gotta, admit myself , tho I love Both movies.Snuff Garrett was a gunius with the soundtracks(possible hall of famer), but Saundra Louch,,,, maybe spelled it wrong , sucked as a singer and double sucked as a actress.Would have made a b film or maybe porno star (tho shes flat chested),If not for CLINT eastwood.
I just think he had bad taste in women and tried to make them stars.
Estimated friend, if you want to listen again this song and an endless number of successes of the love I suggest you to visit Radio MUSICA PARA MIMOS - looks for his direction URL in Google ( search Musica para Mimos in Google)-. best romantic music of all the times in Internet, is great, is very good ...!!!
In the current Hollywood era of doing "Re Makes" because no writer can come up with good shit on their own I'll say this...AS BAD OF A MOVIE AS THIS WAS DON'T FUCK WITH IT! Going further, leave SMOKEY AND THE BANDIT alone, too!
Were gonna kill you real slow boy! take mabey a week. The when your cryin in your sleep like some blind faggot at a weenie roast, we'll kill that monkey a yours and have us an ape roast. Right turn Clyde!~
With all the crap movies on cable why don't they play this? I always loved this movie as a kid, it's great stuff, action, Clint Eastwood, country music that is better than the crap nashville/pop they put out nowadays...great movie a lot of people would like to watch...
oh my god. this song just triggered the most vivid memory. we saw this at the long gone Long Beach Drive-In here in California. we got home and my dog Brandy was jumping up and down so excited that we were home. Brandy's long since gone too.
The glory days of rig riding and cbs have gone by the wayside, but thankfully we still have the greatest classics tunes captured forever on the net! RIP Eddie, Waylon, Hank, johnny cash, et al.
i wish country music was still like this nobody has there own personality or music that suits them, one day there a pop star, then there a country singer its horrible
"This was back when Country was still Country and not this crappy Nashville Rock they play now."...........
Yep. Post Garth and it's been down hill ever since. I dunno which is worse: hitting my nuts with a hammer, listening to Rap or HIp-Hop, or listening to new country.
I was 10 with a big crush on Clint and 70's country music. I still love hearing those songs and watchin those movies that take me back to my childhood.
@rattlinurcage3 - I think there always comes good movies.. but one problem today is the lack of original ideas. We don't need 1 million remakes and sequels. We just need a few movies with a strong story, fitting actors and future classic scenes. That's what makes a good movie!
watched them shoot the hitchhike scene on west colfax in denver,in front of the crazeyhorse saloon, then watched the movie.i knew the dancer in the bar with white chaps on. i dont know how many times i have seen the movie, i have it on autorecord. i give it 10 stars.
I love this movie its one of my favourites ever. I remember going to the cinema when i was 9 years old. brings back lovely memories growing up in Scotland. I had a great childhood.
This is one of my all time favourite films, brilliant actors - all of them. Clint Eastwood, John Quade, Bill McKinney and of course Ruth Gordon as Ma. The scene where they turn up at her house only for her to get the shotgun out is comedy gold.
@Scousefire Yes, this and the sequel!! They just don't make movies like that anymore. Those were the golden years for movies. Now it's all about technology and DC Comic remake films. They hardly ever make Country-themed blue coller movies nowadays.
@tecate1joe the sequel I hated because he took her back after everything she put him through, that pissed me off, but at least they made up for it with the fight scenes
The film was good, but the real artist and message of that film was the theme song. Did that country award program honor Eddie Rabbit ? I believe he will always be the most inspirational musician ever.
i love these movies although i hate how she hurts him and then he takes her back. i guess love does crazy things to people. This song reminds me of the relationship between me and one of my friends.
This is a great song to a great movie, with great singers to boot. It's one of several songs of this era that just gets ya right where it matters. In the heart. like Rich Rich singing behind closed doors. LOVE IT! Did CLint EVER star in a bad movie? probably not.
I saw Eddie Rabbitt and Holly Dunn in concert back in 1994. This is my favorite song by him, although he has many. This was a pretty good movie too; gotta love ole' Clint.
I used to turn this on with my dad and it never failed. Anytime life had shit on us, then this movie showed up on cable. That damn Orangutan made him laugh so hard he near cried. It was cool. :D
I've listened to this song countless times, and only now do I get it. I was in a relationship that turned sour, and I wasn't able to stop loving the person I was with. So really, I never turned myself loose.
