The team of that year was easily swansea city. What Toshack done was unbelivable. Shankly said he should have been manager of the centuary. I dont think a promoted team to the top flight has done so well in their first year(be it a short spell). The modern day small teams in the top flight Wigan Hull couldnt handle the swans of the early 80's
@TheGareth1984 Funny you should say that because the following season, Watford, in their first ever season in the top flight fared even better by finishing 2nd behind Liverpool. Only Ipswich from 1961/62 have done better.
