I like to think that brodys music grows with us, spinnerette have a mellower sound but I can dig it, I wouldn't have liked it the same 10 years ago. If she was still doing the same thing it would just make her one dimentional like everyone else. If you listen to spinnerettes acoustic stuff it sounds just as raw as the distillers, she is still the same song writer after all and it shows no matter what the style.

I loved the distillers, then I heard spinnerette.... I have a new love. I think brody said, the distillers was a girl, spinnerette is a woman, great way to put it I think, but there is a recurring bass line.. dunno if you've picked up on that.

I was only vaguely aware of the Distillers, but upon hearing both bands I really prefer Spinnerette. But, it is all down to personal taste depending on if you are into a punk sound or more of an alternative rock type of sound.
