  • I grew up Baptist and have visited AMEs. I can't tell the difference between the services. Doctrine, yes; services, no.

  • Yes Lord, good soulful gospel with that Holy Ghost all up in it!

  • Honestly, it is a song of the black church, ecompasses all denoms. but I've really only heard this song in Baptist and COGIC churches.

  • I am still Jamming to this one! Thats how you do it Pastor Jackson! Good Ole Fashion, Anointed, Consecrated, Soul Stirring Church Music!

  • @derlamtay I like that!!

  • I am AME Zion and this was the hymn chosen before I preached my trial sermon, it doesn't matter whether AME, AMEZ, CME, or Baptist it's the message and the lyrics of the song that are so TRUE. Thanks to whoever posted this, this hymnal gets me into the Holy Spirit!!!!

  • DA GUD DAYS IN CHURCH...

  • who could without holding God's unchanging hand.. love this song

  • Pastor Jackson you know you can sing this song better then what you are doing speed it up a little!!!! Your church is not AME

  • @02Principal He's a traditionalist. It mighta just been slow that Sunday. He never sings a song the same way.

  • @02Principal

I'll tell ya, that rhythm and tempo is very old, very sacred, and very powerful for African Americans. I'll spare the details, but when it's sung like this, it's done for a reason. As a white southern musician who knows the roots of Black Gospel, when this kinda music comes on, I kinda just bow out respectfully, and listen to it. This style got African Ancestors in this nation, through a LOT of hard times. It is truly, the purest form of musical prayer.

    God Bless.

  • One of my favorite hymns of the church.

  • SING PREACHER THIS IS THE ONLY WAY HOLD TO GODS ON UNCHANGING HAND

  • Build your hopes on things Eternal, and Hold to God's Unchanging Hand...... Now this is church......

  • Powerful Song, God's hand is unchanging in today's society man has change in it's values, that we want it overnight. Hold on to God's unchanging hand and he will make a way.
