Yes he is very talented... This clip belongs to a period in his career in which he was also a member of Milli Vanilli and scored a fantastic hit as a solo artist: "Electric Avenue"
Pretty sure his dad, Jimmy King, was/is the owner of The Subway Lounge in Jackson, Mississippi. The original building fell down and they've since relocated...but the original place is where all the famous black performers would go after their shows to rock the house. The place didn't even open until after midnight and the music went on until at least 4am. The bar was a part of a hotel and for decades was the only hotel open to blacks.
Most of this info is in a book, "Blues Traveling".
@kajunmoon Oh...Okay. I saw them on the "Last Of The Mississippi Jukes" documentary. Thought his dad had the Subway Lounge. I'll have to watch it again. Thanks.
@fenderjones Right, I'm just curious why he would have been featured in "The Last of The Mississippi Jukes" documentary, other than perhaps he played there some. That's about all I can come up with.
I bought that disc when it came out (on cassette) a great album just stacked with terriffic music. Glad I found this when I thought to search for Thomas on youtube. thanx for posting this!

You're not familiar with his work in the movie
"Oh Brother Where Art Thou"? You are right, he is awesome. This is the first time I've heard this. I believe I'll go get this album myself.
