it took a while to consider buying this. but after a friend of mine showed me this beautiful song with clear mastering, my first impression was pro tools, since its "Industry Standard". When I found out it was t-Racks, I Immedietely bought T-Racks and have yet to regret my purchase. Thank you IKMultimedia for coming out with a great product!
Lmao xD dude i actually DID buy T-racks so im not a fake customer at all. though that was kind of a douche remark i know what you mean by it though lol. Im an ACTUAL HUMAN BEING, not a troll to hype up their product. i acually use it when i mix down my stuff since the limiter on fl studio can go over 0 db so its nice to use
@mirceapeleanu see the actual user's comment below. We don't need to resort to that, we have hundreds of thousands of customers and naturally many of them feel the way zeroboroz does. Do you want to talk to more of them? Go to our forum where all accounts are registered users (you can become one if you are not already, by registering one of our free products like AmpliTube free or SampleTank free).
For electric guitar I like the '670 Clear High End' (?) to start, and earlier today I had a harmonica player for whom the 'FM Broadcast' (or is it AM? Can't remember now, but it's the one with the more radically drooped top and bottom ends on the EQ!) seemed to be a good starting point.
Very nice, thank you for sharing. Presets are a very special case with a mix/master program like T-RackS. Every project is SO different that you are likely to need to tweak them but most are EXCELLENT starting points to help people understand the modules themselves and how they work together.
@dhruvdheen You can use the snapshot functionality (consult the manual for more information) in Standalone or use as a plugin in your DAW where you can use automation.
It really varies from song to song, to be honest. Many mastering chains will combine EQ, compression, and a limiter at the end. Some have more, some less. You might want to search for some mastering videos here to get help with the conceptual part of mastering or pick up a good book about it. Thanks!
Very cool, good to know. There's always mixed feelings about presets. They are included for those who like them out of the box AND those who like to have a starting point to tweak. They generally do sound dang good though! Thanks again.
Thanks for the reply! 'Sparkle' is a great starting point for a lead vocal, I'll usually fiddle with the EQ a bit to shape the sound and maybe alter the compression settings a little.
For bass I like 'Solid Low End' as a starting point as it allows you to keep all the rich tones of a good bass. The other bass programs are better for electronic basses.
Id like to seea vid from IK thats a tutorial that shows a song being mastered from start to finish. Dont you guys have one of those? As a compnay, thatd be the best way to show what the product can do. As well as show people the normal way to tackle a song with certain processor modules ~ like, common things to look for with the compressor, EQ, etc.
That would show people how to actually use the product. Presets are great but understanding the basics would be best shown thru a tutorial.
Thank you for the suggestion. There is a wealth of information to cover in the general usage of modules such as these - there could be days and days of videos :)
I really like the fact it comes with mastering presets so after you finish a song you don't have to fart arse around with settings for 10 years!! ...and if you did, in the end you just go back to what you had in the first place :)...go IKMM !
Thank you. Let me know if you'd like to see anything else (not just related to T-RackS). I can't guarantee what will be shot, but I can either suggest it or help find it.
