  • damn! i wish i was in that audience. sooo jealous when i saw all the free stuff they got...miss jessie's is so damn expensive!!! :\

  • I dont lile Tyra's hair in this...why do people clap when she mentions what race she is? lol Can you guys offer some free samples on a Facebook page or something? I would love to try the product but afraid it might not work and it cost sooo much.

  • miss jessie's did nothing for my hair but make it crunchy and sticky and hard.

  • i want to kill tyra's hair stylist. her hair is usually on point

  • I sort of like their products (not love) but their how to videos are not that great at all...the models use ALOT of product .

  • this product is basically for biracial women that already have curly hair,or someone that have a curl definition to their hair

  • 3:28 so jelous!

  • tyras hair looks f-ed up in this video..lol

  • getting 200$ worth of stuff isnt much when you look at their prices. they only probaby got like 4 things. even the stuff at target is expensive

  • I wish people would shut the fuck up about white people using their products WHITE PEOPLE HAVE CURLY HAIR! and ms jessy's beleive it or not has products that can be used for looser cloiled curls. Same with carols daughter their just geared towards african american hair but can be used for many different kinds of curly hair. So please lets not be ignorant.

  • @tristaneAlexandria I think people who say that mean white people with straight hair not curly hair.

  • tyra is ignorant as hell to say "You're biracial, what's your nationality?"

Her nationality is AMERICAN, TYRA. Just like YOURS, a-duhh. Nationality means what nation you're from..

the correct question is what is your ethnicity as in your parent's / ancestor's decent; please people, don't be this ignorant.

  • i'd should be on the audience!!!!!

  • Man I wish I was in Tyra's audience for once, I would have LOVED to get that bag of goodies I hope and PRAY that not an ounce of product was wasted. With that said...lol I L.O.V.E. LOOOVVVEE Miss J's. I just wish I could afford to use it as it's directed.

  • @luvnmusack lmfao same here i was drooling when trya said the audience was getting a gift bag

  • Yeah, I think a little more insight into this particular episode was needed...she could have had a show for people with curly/ wavy textures of hair who could actually benefit from the products. But then again, it wasn't just about Miss Jessie's products and it was still great exposure for them.

  • Im Jealous!! lol

  • PART 2:

I'm surprised that she even had Titi & Miko on her show talking about natural hair & the beauty of it when she doesn’t feel natural hair is beautiful her damn self.

BEFORE & AFTER PICS OF TYRA

    deceiver.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/11/tyra12.JPG

  • PART 1:

First of all I'd like to say that Tyra Banks is the phoniest self-hating chick on TV right now. This psychotic hood-rat in designer clothing has modified herself to look like the "European Standard of Beauty" for years(i.e.bleached skin, chem.straightened hair, nose job, etc.) All of that & has the nerve to have shows titled "Good Hair", “Black Market Surgery”, & "Black women who use skin bleach" She even told “The Sun” that she is totally against cosmetic surgery.

  • Lol, I wore my hair like Miko's back in the day. Highschool (83-86) to the early 90's. Glad to see the style/i.e. big hair is back. YAH!

  • @Papillonmuscogee , Me too. I have always thought that style was pretty on women. And if you notice, that's a hairstyle that any race of women can wear.

    Cgirl2020

  • I love Miss Jessie's products. I get sick of people complaining about the prices and mineral oil. If you cant afford it, don't buy it! If you are against mineral oil DON'T USE IT....It's simple. Its your hair. Your decision.

  • @curlsgolore Do you have a new ingredients list regarding these products? I'm just asking because on Curl Mart all three products are listed as having mineral oil. If they no longer do, that's great!

  • @curlsgolore That's not true. I have the stretch silkening creme and the first ingredient is Parrafin Liquidum. And why didn't Titi admit she had a silkener while she was on Tyra? Why does Miss Jessie's say on one hand that they are helping women embrace their natural hair, when they offer a chemical treatment so people can pretend to have what is considered "Good" hair? Why didn't the girl in the audience not admit that SHE also had a silkener? Why have a conflicting message?

  • how did miko loosen her curl pattern i'm very interested because i would love to loosen my curl pattern

  • @sudanbabe she used a silkener. Its basically a relaxer that isn't left on too long. They offer the service at their salon.

  • man those ppl are lucky

  • @curlsgolore thats wierd because I could have sworn I looked on the back labels of curly pudding, stretch silkening creme and quick curls and they all said Mineral Oil , or its technical name Paraffin Liquidum

oh so Miko is all Natural but whether your hair is thick or not, sodium hydroxide is sodium hydroxide

  • I'm so confused

On one hand... the products results look AMAZING

on the other hand they contain ingredients which affect moisture getting to your scalp e.g. mineral oil... if I find one of their products which does not include these things then I will buy it...

also... I don't get it... Tyra calls their hair natural... but they have used silkeners which contains sodium hydroxide... the same ingredient in relaxers

  • @lisalilsmartass i heard that miko is natural

  • @lisalilsmartass Please. Now you're just nit picking

  • Dang...I would have loved to get that goodie bag...LOL :)

  • Im very proud of this level of success for Tti & Miko. I will most definitely be picking up the line of products and telling my homegirls about them. Great job, ladies!!!!!

  • I don't use these products but I was wondering if the sisters speak Japanese?

  • Mikos haiir is sooo pretty!!!!!!!!!

  • @kim24may I know I wish my hair was thick enough to make a curly bang like that and make a ponytail

  • I just went to TARGET and saw Miss Jessies' line! I'm glad to see sisters make it to this level!

I will definitely purchase my Miss Jessies' products at TARGET

  • ugh, when they showed the bag i guessed the same priced that tyra said it was worth. lol i know my miss jessies. But i agree with ChinkieChase, they should've given them sample packs bc everybody won't be able to use the products like they're meant to be used

  • Good job ladies. I didn't get a chance to see that Tyra Episode.

  • LOVE MISS JESSIES so happy to that it will be so much easier to find> so happy they have it in all Target stores YAYYYYYYYY

  • Mikos hair looks soooooooo beautiful. The people with straight hair should hand their gift bag to me. lol

  • Congrats to Titi and Miko, the business is expanding to retailers across the US. I am so proud of the both of you for not allowing anyone to stop your dream and your vision. Keep doing it really big for us naturals, textured, and relaxed women. Oh, sorry, the guys too, cuz they want to look good for us-lol.

  • I had grown my natual hair out for a year and tried the curly pudding with the curly buttercreme. My hair was a hard hat...I then texturized (mild permed) my hair and reused the curly pudding and my hair looked and still looks awesome. My husband tells me how good my hair looks and smells nearly everyday.

  • Miss Jessie's At Target March 28, 2010

  • Wait...Isn't Titi biracial too? Miko said "my" mother is Japanese and "my" father is AA. Aren't they full sisters?

  • @Kimshi4242 Yes Titi and Miko have the same Father and Mother and are half African American and Japanese and proud of being both.

  • @curlsgolore " ...and proud of being both." I'm not sure where that comment came from. When did I insinuate they shouldn't be proud?

  • @Kimshi4242 i was confuse too lol.

  • OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG what r those white ppl with straight hair going to do with their products? give them away! i wish i was there

  • @ChinkieChase haha tru, i was just thinkng that

  • @ChinkieChase that's what I was thinking. that was so unfair...lol...they should have made the chicks without curly hair give their products up.

  • @ChinkieChase I know! They so don't need it.

  • @ChinkieChase LOL I thought the same thing, I hope they each have a black friend that they can re-gift them too... smh Or better yet I hope that they said "no thank you" when it was time to hand them out and let all the black folks walk out with 5 bags each!!!

  • @ChinkieChase hahahahahahahaha i so agree lol

  • hi I do not feel they are scammers. Some products may not work on everyones hair. Some of the cheaper products don't work on my hair. Do you hear my trying to put them down. As consumers and as african americans we are always knocking our sisters. But if there is a Calvin Klein outfit that we want we don't say a word about how expensive they are. We will just buy it.

  • Their products did nothing for my hair but make it feel oily without any real moisture. I don't necessarily think these women are scam artists or anything but I understand the frustration. I felt scammed after paying as much as I did for a product with mineral oil in it and didn't work. But is it true that they have chemicals in their hair? I think it's sort of misleading if they do.

  • I am a faithful customer of Miss Jessie's and quiet frankly like the options they have made for those of us who are natural and for those who want to have a natural look but our hair texture can be difficult to work with hence the silkener ..what the young lady in the aduience had in her hair to give it the lenght and curl that it has...yes they are rather pricey so I am limited in what I can do with them and what products are a must have for me...but by no means are they a scam!!

  • sorry didn't realize that you had to have an account and apparently I posted under my idiodic byfriends page so please disregard the crap on this page

  • Curlsgolore, I don't think it is a scam. Like videostarradio says, I don't think the ingredients are worth the price. I wish your company would have a more natural ingredient base like some other companies. I really want something to moisturize my hair that doesn't contain mineral oil and petrolatum in them. I don't mine paying the price if it looks like it's worth it. I support black own companies to the fullest, but I don't want to put just anything in my hair.

  • @blueberry2118 they are half japanese

  • @blueberry2118 i agree with the other things you said

  • @blueberry2118 oh i didn't know that they said that they are bi racial on the show so i guess you already know too.

  • @blueberry2118 they are bi racial own buisness

  • @blueberry2118 I completely get what your saying about not wanting to put just anything in your hair, But I can say, speaking as someone that is natural, that sometimes the all natural products arent the greatest. Ive tried many that, although it was all natural, it made my hair beyond dry and so stiff. And really its not about the product its about how you take care of your hair. Im not saying how you feel is wrong but I am saying to try to the product first cause you never know.

  • Looking forward to March 28th when I can go to the Augusta Target for my MJ fix!! Will the new Super Sweetback Treatment also be in stores?

  • Mineral oil is in no way beneficial to hair and skin. Why lie? Mineral oil is in Miss Jessie's because it's cheap. So why do they sell their products at OUTRAGEOUS prices with cheap ingredients? Honestly these women are scam artists. They didn't even admit that they have their hair relaxed/texturized/silkened (whatever). I hope their business fails because they are misleading ppl who are on their natural hair journey.

  • I agree with you videostarradio. I also found petrolatum, waxs, cones, parabens and artificial dye in my product. None of these ingredients are moisturzing to the hair. I feel like I waste my money. I pay $8 for a 2oz size of Curly Buttercreme. That is even way to much for the price. I tried it and hated it. A little is left and just sitting there. It not that much of it. I don't want to waste my money. So I am going to finish using it.

  • @vidastarradio I completely agree with you mineral oil is my number one enemy...

do you know if any of their products do not contain mineral oil ?

  • i wish i was in the audeince lol!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I tried Miss Jessies products and they did nothing for me... I have a friend who loves them... it just goes to show that not everything is for everybody.

  • omg im hating on that gift bag too lol

  • I know right?!?!? I should contact one of the white guys in the audience and see if he'd be willing to hook a sista up! LOL

  • Dang I wish I was in the audience. A gift bag?

  • Enjoyed the segment. Loved seeing Simone...you go ladies!

  • I watched this episode and didn't see them........i must have just missed this portion.

    Love Miss Jessies

  • I want that gift bag!!!!!!

  • Beautiful, love, love, love Miss Jessies products and my clients love it too. I use curly pudding and curly buttercreme on my hair. Proud of the two sister Miko and Titi.

  • great job! um so proud of you!!!

  • I really love the Rapid Recovery Treatment and I want to try the new Sweetback but the price is just too too much. It's something that you can treat yourself with but to us them all the time would break the bank.

  • Congratulations! I love your products!

  • OMG!!! What a giveaway!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thats my problem the prices of the products are a killer!

  • Dang! Wish I was in that audience! I wanna try that Sweetback...

  • i saw this and thought you did fabulous.... <3

  • You'll did a WONDERFUL job representing!!!!!

  • Wow! I wish I was there. I want a gift bag.

  • Wow. Miko and TiTi please bless this sister with a gift bag. I loved your segment.

  • I wish I had one of those gift bags! Titi and Miko's hair looks great. Please let us know which products and techniques you used:)

  • WHAT THE HECK! Did you see the sizes of those jars/tubes?! Those aren't the travel sizes! I wish I could've been in the audience that day.

Well, good for them! I wonder if some will put the products on eBay! LOL!

  • I saw this episoide the other day...I HAD TO laugh when she said she had "tightly coiled" hair though lol :p

  • @Thkmra - If anything, her hair is very loosely curled. Tightly coiled (imo) is 4b-c hair texture...I just feel as if her statement misrepresents the natural hair community by narrowing it...Its like, if her hair is "tightly coiled," then wth would erykah badu's (and my own) hair be described as?

  • OMG!! What a giveaway!!!!!!

  • Man, I wish I was there!!!!!

  • Congrats Ladies...I would have loved to receive those too....but I don't mind spending the dough on some great hair care products!....Keep it up Ladies!

  • Great job!

  • WOW, they got the big sizes, too, LOL!

I would have loved to be there.

  • man wish i was there!

  • Thanks for sharing. I like their products, but with 4 daughters and myself that could get really costly. Looking for that staple braid-out twist product. I really like MJs....hummm wonder if the price point will come down a bit next month when the product hits target stores.

  • Can't wait to receive my curly buttercreme. I hope this works in my 4c hair!

  • Great going!!!

  • Great! Fyi, just got baby buttercreme...EXCELLENT!

  • Awesome. Congrats on making the show! :o)

  • Aw I wanted to see the rest. Can I see this show on line?
