I dont care how many slams he won, he is without any determination or backbone. He is a pathetic role model for youngster. Nadal is the perfect champion unlike his idiotic predeccessor. He fights to the bone, plays every point like his life depends on it. These are the characteristics of a champion. OK. All you pathetic federer fans listen up. A couple of years ago everybody questioned nadals game and said he was only a clay court player. He proved critics wrong by winning queens and wimbledon. He adapted his game and improved his game on all surfaces. Now, lets compare that to roger. Ooops. There is no comparison. He has crumbled at every obstacle/hurdle that he faced. Its easy when you winning, its how you perform when your backs against the wall that defines a champion. He's pathetic

I guarantee roger will never beat nadal ever again - except maybe on grass if he gets lucky. Rogers character is as soft as a babys arse. Look at HIM! He is sexy. There is a difference. Roddick is a pretty boy but I can't call him sexy because he still looks like a frat boy (no disrespect). Nadal (some think) is cute, but not sexy. A good example is seeing Roger play with his slick and smooth movements that he is known for but also to see him in a man's suit. Have any of you seen Nadal in a suit/tux? i agree,federer is the most naturally gifted player the world has ever seen.nadal's game is very forced and physical,nothing comes without great effort.i dont think nadal will ever surpass roger c.v cause he doesnt have that air of invincibility that roger has,plus he will burn out rather quickly from injuries because his game is so physical

I agree, Nadal has had 12 injuries so far, has his knees strapped constantly, his hand, now his ankle and foot. For a 22 year old that has got to be a worry. Roger is 5 years older and has no stress injuries. Nadal is doing something wrong. There are many big hitters coming through and if that is your game then you will be beat easy. He is at his best now and still being beat. Tsonga - unseeded hammered him three sets Aust open 07, its not a good sign. But all the good for Tennis.

i wont hold nadals loss to tsonga against him that much,cause tsonga was on an unbelievable roll,but in my opinion theres something very suspicious about nadal's improvement since then.some people think that its more to do with federer's game declining that makes nadal looks so good,but i think his energy level had raised and his forehand and backhand has improved beyond recognition

I think Nadal (like alot of them) are now copying Rogers game. Nadal is a power hitter, we have a few of those. His game is writing cheques his body cant cash. Nadal's improvement is it harder, one dimensional player he will never get to the levels of Roger Federer, no competition there. I know notice that alot of players are now playing like Federer has for the last 4/5 years.
Its not an improvement, its an adopted standard. Cant beat them join them. Rogers game far out reaches theirs.

I would say he is only 22 and at that age you think your are superman. As I said in the last 5 years he has had 12 injuries, his body is strapped constantly now it cant take this kind of punishment and its telling him. He will hit the wall. If he is using anything other than what is acceptable im sure he would have been tested at the olympics. If he is then he knows he is cheating and he cant lie to himself. I hope not. He had one goal to beat Roger what will motivate him now, thats harder.

Also, I am sorry to say, but I think we are witnessing the declining phase of Federer's career. His best tennis vanished with the 2007 Australian Open (not 2008), where he didn't drop a set (he beat Gonzalez in the final 7-6, 6-4, 6-4). I doubt Federer will regain his super-human strength from 2006 (he went 90-1 against everyone not named Nadal in 2006, 2-4 vs Nadal in 2006). In my opinion, Federer is about to vanish from the tennis world.
