Excuse me, could someone please clarify the Democrats' position on the Iraq war? There is no clear concensus. There is no factional unity. Get off your fucking soap boxes!
What the hell is Leiberman saying? He lost the primary. Intead of supporting his party in creating a Democratic majority, he is undermining it. No wonder the GOP has abandoned their own candidate and is helping Leiberman.
Joe has put himself on the ropes by his voting with Bush and the Republicans, against his own party. Blaming DKos or Lamont for Joe's own votes and public positions is typical for Republicans who keep their heads in the sand and make our nation less safe from the biggest terrorist, Bush.
Ole Joe is running the Ross Perot tactic for the republicans, drawing the votes away from the democrat, so Joe and the Republicans can get their boy back in office. Its a Classic move from the Bush sr. election. Divide and conquer.
All politicians shade the truth somewhat, and many on the left are also sell outs to one degree or another, but Lieberman takes the cake. He may in fact believe in what he's doing, but it will be a great day when he's gone!
mungo, whose lines are you swallowing? who is a "wingnut"? why did you "used to be" a "Dem"? If you are buying Republican logic, aren't you a Republican?
Leiberman doesn't help make a Democratic majority. On too many important issues he's voted with the Repugnants not just the Iraq War and stopped the filibuster of Alito, something we'll be paying years for.
Daily Kos has got Joe on the ropes. The wingnut left is tearing the party apart. I like Joe. He is like the Dem I used to be. I could vote for him if he comes out west. I think that would be great. Lamont a stealth candidate and Joe is doing the right thing by looking at the reality of the two party system pulling itself apart.
outside of the war he's still pretty liberal

Listen to the end. Hear Lieberman say "including a few of the democrats" ...
If you ask me, that's a VERY telling slip of the tounge.

Joe lies through his teeth in a most sanctimonious manner. Utterly disgusting that he still claims to be a "Democrat." He's a lying lapdog for Bush.
