Vatican Radio on 4004.6kHz, received in Japan

Great catch! Reception is usually not so much better at my QTH in Germany. The signal is certainly stronger, but it is often covered by local noise.

Rarely can not receive in japan.

Are they broadcasting?...

@peacemakerjapan Yes, they are still broadcasting. I received them recently, but the signal was mediocre. According to WRTH 2010, a 10 kW transmitter in Vatican City is used on 4005 kHz. That would explain the rather poor reception.

@peacemakerjapan It's the same as with Radio Nikkei (formerly NSB) from Japan on 3925 which is only audible in Europe during the deep winter.
