@1991supraturbo I don't have any issues with multiplex besides the known slight miss around 2800-3100 rpm sometimes. I hear you can get around that miss by adjusting the ignition map around that section of the table, but It never bothered me that much. Nevertheless, I'm running the IS300 coils only because of the simplicity of it and the fact that they are a little bit newer technology wise etc. Everything else is stock including the multiplex system.
@spainobain1234 I never pay attention to the speedo. What you see in that video is about as fast as I'll go in an open, empty back road. I enjoy more acceleration then high speed.
@turb0gate Which piggy back computer and how much horsepower?? Im shooting for at least 500 rwhp on my 7mgte ARPs and performance long block. Does your supra suck you into your seat? Is it sucking power? Do you have an email adress you could send me through a youtube message?
i got a question a i found a dealer who is elling a 7mgte supra manual for 5k is that a good deal 145000 miles or should i buy an eclipse gsx? plz respond someone
@TheJdmman2 If it's in decent condition, meaning no major rust, clean interior etc. It might be a good deal. For the engine, I would try to do some common tests, but you can never tell with those 7Ms. Be prepare to invest a little on the engine to at least freshen it.
@98TTmark It's a custom manifold made by the great Ron Ramirez. jt2ma71 on the Supra forums. His work is second to none, He used to make manifolds for 7Ms and 2Js, not sure if he still makes them.
Wohoo. That was great. How easy is it to break loose with the 19psi tune? I didn't ear much wheelspin at all. i expected it to spin through 2nd at least. Must be some nice shoes to keep it planted.
@mkbarron no problem. I did most of the work myself. My good friend does own a shop, so I had access to his tools and lifts, which makes working on a car much easier.
Why do you have two AFR meters, one on the gauge cluster and one on the A pillar? just for redundancy? Are they reading in different units bc the numbers look different. Why does your gauge cluster read the boost as being over 20 just from goosing the throttle in neutral?
@mkbarron My initial AFR was the AEM UEGO gauge which comes with the wideband sensor as well. The AIM dashboard is reading the AFR signal from the AEM ECU which the AEM UEGO is providing (hope that makes sense). The advantage of the AIM dashboard is that I can add warnings for most signals the dashboard receives. If can have a specific warning light flash if it runs to lean. The AIM is displaying Lambda as opposed to AFR and pressure is being displayed as inHg instead of PSI.
@msupra1989 Constant overheating? What year is yours? In 87 toyota got the torque specs wrong on the head studs, and it blows through gaskets. Replace your head gasket with a cometic, get apr head studs and torque to 75 ftlbs. Also get a bigger radiator, The stock ones are garbage.
mthat supra is fukn tight.. my freind suppose to get a supra soon, he just put a down payment on it and thats lol. I LOVE SUPRAS one of the best car TOYOTA MADE..
@panzerfaust375 It's not really the torque setting's that are the problem. It's the EGR it get's backed up and blows the head gasket at the number 6cyl. It doesn't help that toyota used cheap bolts to save weight and money
@peer648 It's not for the novice. I can play with it and make little adjustments, but I stay away from the serious settings, "fuel, timing" etc. I would recommend letting a pro handle the tuning part. @peer648 The AEM is a full blown computer. It replaces all those piggie back. All you need for the AEM is a pressure sensor and air intake temperature sensor (AIT) and your set. Now, with the AEM you can hold off on getting those sensor and use the AFM and still get rid of fuel cut etc. But you would want to get rid of the AFM bottle neck anyways.
@nickma71 My turbo is actually a .68 exhaust housing, I just corrected that. Isn't the Boss turbo bolt on to the stock manifold? I've heard good things about them, but I've had my turbo since way before the boss series came out.
@turb0gate The Boss bolts to the stock manifold, including the GTS series which will make 600 hp. Of course a Boss Jr will not make 600, but probably 400 hp max, by design.
Guys, FYI the 90+ MKIII's steering wheel with airbag looks identical to the MKIV wheel. The difference is barely noticable unless you really look closely which is why I got that wheel.

@peer648 It's not for the novice.
