@kmsd2 The short blade is a razor blade from the hardware store. You can usually buy 5 of them for $1 USD.

i'm a beginning working with clay. What's the best brand?? What would be the best clay that air dries, and what clay would be good for home oven baking? Which do you recommend. Also where can I buy supplies and find good clay tools? sorry for all my questions

It's a clay scraper. Got it at Hobby Lobby in the clay section. Comes in a set of tools for $10. Don't forget to look online for the 40% off coupon.

how long can you keep your clay soft without letting it harden?

It can for about 6 months before it's just too hard to work with easily. But there is clay softener liquid that you can add to old clay to recondition it. I don't use that but if you get some Sculpey that is Translucent. It's really mushy and makes clay soft without taking the color away.

You don't need to bake the tin foil.

I use Premo and Sculpey, any kind will work. Buy it at Hobby Lobby, Michaels, or JoAnn Fabrics. Bake according to package.  ENJOY!

sometimes you can find razor blade on walgreens but the blade has like textures so its really good too but mayb your walgreens is different so try in walmart.

I have Origami Paper like that corn texture. You can't really fold it, but it is pretty! LOL.

Thank you! I only have made some texture tools and put some clay around a needle. But Yes, I will certainly make a video of all my favorite tools. Dental tools are a wonderful creation- when you get your teeth cleaned always ask for their broken and old tools. Many times they will give them to you for free.

(Dental Tools- the REAL reason crafters visit the dentist.)
