Kanye is a mixture of Premo, Pete Rock, and RZA. He's all your old school favorites put together and more because he's shows alot of diversity(Graduation, 808's) but he's already made alot Hip Hop classics for both the Mainstream and Underground plus Good Ass Job is going to be a classic.

In my opinion, if we should compare only these beats:
1st Both really good, but Preem takes that, just a bit better
2nd Preem by far, that one from West is another style, cant compare them

If you want real comparisons to preemo try M-phazes, 9th Wonder, Beatminerz, Insight, Pete Rock, K-def, DJ Damu, Dj Muggs, Alchemist, Ayatollah, Erick Sermon, Stoupe of J.M.T., Organized Noize, Memo of MoleMen amongst many others. kanye west is/was a "good" producer. DJ Premier is a "great" producer. You cannot compare good to great because good will always prove to be inferior to the greatest. Today, dj premier isn't as great as he used to be. He's not expected to because i believe he's ran out of juice. It's time for other producers to carry the torch. Kanye West has promise and potential but hes not even close to preemo's level.

When Kanye first came out people were calling him the new Pete Rock and If Pete Rock notices his own influence on Kanye doesn't that mean what I'm saying is true?
