experiments done in zero G have allowed us to genetically enhance food to have better nutrition and better protection from disease which is VERY important when it comes to feeding third world countries. if you can produce a tomato that resists disease and has the best nutrition possible with a longer shelf life, then there is a set of problems you just got rid of in the attempt to feed the world
