this is one of the very few games that has ever gotten a genuine emotional response from, losing Chopper hurt, the sinking of the kestrel hurt and all the Pilots coming together at the end singing the same song was beautiful. as much as I would like to, I doubt we will see a game like this again.

Even years after the release of thsi game, I still associate The Unsung War with hope and a turn for the best possible outcome, something that makes keep me moving on. Maybe it is the situation I first heard it in ( guess? ) ( if you don't know, the final "boss" ) that makes me feel like true accomplishment and retribution for my efforts.

@TheFlightAce Shooting down 8492 - one of the more annoying missions on ace mode. Still, as annoying as all the dodging is, I agree, it is one of the more fun missions. Makes the mission Shattered Skies from Ace Combat 4 seem easy in some ways. At least in that mission there's no ECM's screwing with your radar.

And a warning for those who do not know; Do NOT buy Ace Combat Assault Horizon.

It looks good, but they took out a minor detail.

@AcesVideos132 I don't know about you but, my favorite ace combat mission ever; was shooting down the 8492 squadron right after the fortress mission.

Come to think of it, I don't think anyone has made a video of that mission.(Or at least doing it the right way.)

lol Good luck. I've tried to shoot everyone down but I would always take a lot of damage so I would be forced to take the easy way out and just leave. :P

My favorite mission was facing off against both of the Osean and Yuktobanian fleets with Prime Minister Nikinor (I think that's how you spell his name). On the Kestrel.

Just shows how no one can stand in the way of the Razgriz. :)

@AcesVideos132 It can be done, I managed to do it on ace difficulty.

The trick, shoot down the jammers  first, oh and make sure your special weapon is the QAAM trust me your gonna need em.

Thats actualy the only way to get an S rank on that mission.

And no matter how close you are to bringing down a plane, dont forget to DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO­OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO­OOOOGE!!!

yeah! like several hundred times! I still play it till this day, sometimes when i'm like playng my xbox, i quickly hook up my ps2 to play some ace combat 5 for a bit. It is seriously one of the best games ever created. For me personally, it just creates this fake world in your head that seems all too real. Gameplay is great, music is amazing there's different music for every mission, and the story? don't even get me started with the story man... hahaha

When I play this part of the game, I feel like I'm actually going out and saving the world, and that it all comes down to me. Man, all epic battle scenes (movie and game) should have music like this!
