Surferdude that's awesome guess I'll start checkn evilbay for wadded 1000rr front end! But she is baas asss!! I'm gonna see if a buell s1 flyscreen will fit just a bit taller?
The mic on yer camera would'nt have done the sound any justice - nothing like hearing engines for real, in the flesh. Don't the exhaust fumes melt your tyre?
That one sounds OK. There was one on here with a Cagiva muffler that sounded great (deleted, unfortunately) but nothing touches Hord's beast of a Hawk.
BTW, I wasn't on it heavy in my video - I do have neighbors to consider.
Just being honest. It's the color that does it IMO. Either way these bikes are awesome. It doesn't look as good as this one but it's blue and no windshield. Peace.
Did you just press the steering stem into the 1000RR clamps to do the swap? I have a frame minus engine and front end, need to do something with it...

Wow that's pretty clean. Windshield is ugly but other then that it's a pretty nice bike.

The windscreen is off of a Buell M2 Cyclone and looks good on the bike - otherwise, it wouldn't be on it. But thanks anyway.

cbr 1000 front end sound like a great mod!
what type of shock have you fitted at the rear?
rampartian86 3 years ago
I'm using a 900rr shock with the stock Hawk spring for now but I might upgrade next year to a Penske.

Not necessary - the 1000 RR front end is a direct bolt-on, the bearings are even the same part #!!!

sounds great, but what if the exhaust sprays oil on the rear tire when revving it or something...

The same could be asked about Buell's style of exhaust, too. Honestly, it isn't something I'm worried about - this a 4 stroke, not a 2 stroke.
