  • i love that ride so much!

  • Why does he throw his stick away at 3:12?

  • @2good4name probably broke them

  • 2:06 Ride part fucks me every time.

  • @hullett29 Me too... Its quite hard to get it right...

  • sooooooooooooo tight!!

  • This drummer is f*** outstanding

  • Do I hear people sining along?

  • ..... I think I'll go practice.....

  • @19MyGlock of course! Meinl never fails to disappoint ;)

  • nice

  • now thats metal.

  • If you like this video look up Danny walker playing elegy by his band intronautawesome shit

  • His Cymbals sound amazing....

  • Did anyone else find themselves screaming the words by heart to this video or am I alone?

  • holy shit lol

  • truly an android sent from the future to plat metal drums!!!

  • My drum teacher used to complain I drum too hard.....but I was just preparing for playing Chris style! ;D \m/

  • Thumbs up if you was singing along while he was playing :D

  • Met\m/ ALL ,Metal:))

  • His beard is epic!

  • idol chris adler!

  • Adler is a Beast!

  • This is how the Metal Drummer of the Year 2011 plays. \m/ CHRIS ALDER. <3

  • @razor10haris What about Alex Rudinger? Search for Alex Rudinger - Ordinance - Album Nr2 - Pre-production.

  • Nice video dude. the other one you posted didn't sync with the audio.

  • @handsofgodful Weird... They all worked back when I posted them.

  • is it wrong to have a boner???

  • @ryanrager3 no, nothing at all...

  • i want his drum set and his legs!!!

  • @prmathies I agree. Very well put.

  • 2:08 - epic ride tap pattern

  • 1:30. Epic flip.

  • @Bloodtoker lol o yea dude and he does anotehr right after - he also does the cymbal hit but the epic point version - to where he hits but points at it at the same time - u know that dude is feelin that drum beat - its savage..

  • i wish my snare sounded like a gun :(

  • .....my god.....that is one MEAN fucking beard!

  • with a beard like that i would fuck every night and fucking say im chris adler fucker of LOG

  • Chris got golden feets.I want Chris and Dying Fetus Drummer have a drum dual

  • 3:12 FUCK YOU DRUM STICK!!

  • go to see tomas haake

  • 2:07 This part is tough, it forces you to separate your right hand from the rest of your playing.

  • @ireternalexistence "tough"? ... this is basic! :) if you play just "doublebass metal" maybe, but it's really a simple exercise.

  • @ireternalexistence Yeah for beginner drummers...All of his drum parts can be played by an intermediate player. He's so damn overrated it's not even funny. I could play in this band and learn all the drum parts in a day. His playing is not complicated at all really..pretty casual double bass metal, nothing technical about it. Not trying to be arrogant and rip this dude up, but it's so fucking true.

  • @Tardsnake I'm sorry, what band did you say you are in again?

  • @coldfusionwi I've played in several metal bands, Invidiosus to name one but not in one right now. I have some video's from years back on my channel that show I am more than capable of playing his tunes. I like lamb of god and Chris Alder, but damn overrated. He is a solid player, but I just don't see him playing anything besides metal.

  • @Tardsnake Guess what Bro.

    No one cares. :)

    Have a good one.

  • @Swift016 Thanks Taylor.

  • @ireternalexistence Don't listen to the faggots responding to you. This part IS tough.

  • @Swift016 This IS part of youtube. It's fucking thrilling isn't it?

  • Wow. nc drum and excellent drummer

  • JESUS ON THE DRUMSET :D

  • He jus makes it look so... Effortless

  • Drummers are for destructive kids :)

  • hahah the wee flick at 2:30 ;)

  • FUCKINGBADDASSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!

  • hah!! love the casual stick-chuck and recovery :D

  • Master drummer ever...creative

  • i would love to have that much stuff to bang. ... on.

  • No wonder why he sucks...he needs more cymbals...

  • Jesus Adler christ.

  • What I wouldn't give for that beard...

  • Chris adler is cooler than any person dead or alive, EVEN CHUCK NORIS

  • chuck norris watches this video 100,000 times a day

  • i love how he uses such small crashes, so different from most metal drummers

  • @iDrum628 Not only does he use small crashes, but his snare is also pretty small. He does a lot of fast fills, so he needs drums and cymbals that have a sharp bite and quick attack.

  • @thedrummerkid88 very true

  • @thedrummerkid88 12"snare i belive, his custom snare that is if im not mistaken

  • @fjoesnisse You are precisely correct. I know it was Black Panther too, but I'm not too sure what he uses now.

  • this is a motha fucking invitation! the only one that you could ever need.

  • 3:12 I was like "Wuuuuttttttt"

  • 2 rednecks watched this video

  • @runescapemichbla HAHAHA

  • fav metal drummer along with george

  • Benny Greb two bass drums!

  • Love the way he sings the chorus while he's playing, dudes a fucking badass :D

  • If I ever meet this dude, Im gonna shake hands with his beard.

  • Awesome ^-^

But he has definitely straightened his beard with an hair iron! xDDD

  • 1:38 Wood chips off the left stick!

  • That wizzardly beard is what keeps him going...... In fact he holds a drumstick with it and actually plays ghost notes with it... pretty weird huh? O_o

  • so here's what I think, there are painters who painted better than Picasso but I like looking at Picasso's paintings more....there are drummers who are technically speaking better drummers than Adler but I just have to watch him because there's something he does that is just more captivating

  • @prmathies Well said. I totally agree

  • his snare sounds sick!

  • RIDE THAT TRACTOR!

  • did anyone else notice that he's singing along with the song? :D

  • Thats one dislike was joey jordison,.

  • I soo need a double-base too! I wanna play like Chris!

  • 0:32 Viking groove mode engaged

  • @tehmiff I loled :D

  • he's like samson, when someone cuts his beard he'll lose his drumming skill

  • Beautyfull drum set.

  • |m|

  • @iforsameda

    \ /

     \/\/\/\/

  • he waves his drum sticks like they are magic wands and pure bliss comes from them!

  • the dislike is Justin Beiber !

  • that is such a beautiful kit

  • damn, for a metal drummer he's got a lot of groove and funk going on. pretty awesome like john tempesta.

  • I love this song so bloody much :D

  • who ever disliked this can suck my hairy scrotum! CUNT!

Chris adler you are my idol, fucking LEGEND.

  • Chris Adler is not a redneck! title is wrong!

  • 3:12 Epic!

  • Does he remind anyone else of Benny Greb here? he's just got that look and that vibe to his playing.

  • what is the ride he hitting at 2:09

  • @doubledipedchip His Signature 24" Meinl Metal Ride..

  • @vrocket7 cool, thnx

  • @vrocket7 cool, thx

  • Awesome

  • fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck i want that ride

  • @tehmiff I think shit just got serious at 2:08 haha

  • 00:32 shit just got serious

  • Iv never heard him even mention the fact he is left handed, clearly is does not even faze him unlike some people I know who use that at every time they dont get a part down well.

  • @WayneWiblin He mentioned so in the modern drummer 2005 festival during an interview (disk 3)...He also stated that his good foot is his left and he had to work on his right....!!

  • Chris can play this song upside down.. while sleeping.. on a tree.

  • cool flying stick 3:12

  • mapex blackpanther

  • incredibly solid!!! sounds just like the album!!!

  • Comment removed

  • chris is just so disciplined hes a big part of the driving force behind lamb of god

  • i could only wish millions of views for Chris!... somehow people are missing his videos. May be the top view in the Video cover could attract some... Hats off Chris!

  • is it only me who thinks he reminds a bit about the techno viking?

  • the thing that is so impressive about drummers like chris, is that they make it look like they have all the time in the world whie playing, even thought it's a fast song, incredibly talented men.

  • Such an independent style.

  • Chris talks about getting his legs in shape for double bass by riding a bike into practice everyday. Get peddlin' motherfuckers! Lol.

  • He gives he snare a right good spanking, XD

  • thumbs up if u think tht chris adler is da best drummer in da world !!!!!!!!!

  • Wish he played Walk With Me In Hell.

  • lol at 3:10 "Hay I dont like this stick anymore so I am just going to get a new one"

  • @Death1458100 i think it might have broken

  • @tbx49 2nd?! Who the hell is your first?!?!

  • @JNN247 Oh yeah, that's understandable..

  • Did Chris talk about how he has developed his double bass abilities at all? Thanks!

  • @NewYorkJets99 By goofing around on the drummer's kit back when he was a guitarist.

  • @quikstang2 Oh ok. Any info on any exercises he does to practice day to day and/or how much time he puts in, etc.? Sorry for all the questions man, thanks again!

  • @NewYorkJets99 He might have mentioned a little about that. I don't remember, and I didn't record the speaking bits. A guy on a drum forum (centerstagem) I'm on did record some speaking bits. His YouTube name is: radicaldrumz

  • @quikstang2 Oh ok, just wondering if there was anything specific worth noting. I'll definitely check that out! Thank you very much for your time!

  • @quikstang2 I've heard he plays 72 hours a day.

  • @Garfield4317 hey smart one theres only 24 hours a day

  • @dallasvanity Thanks for pointing that out, he and the 70 people that thumbed up his comment had no idea. dumb cunt.

  • @6EELZE6U6666 I think that was the joke man. Obviously its common knowledge there are only 24 hours in a day...I guess that makes you not only a dumb cunt but also quick to judge haha just sayin

  • @dallasvanity Exactly.

  • @dallasvanity That's the joke...

  • @Garfield4317 with a drumset like that, i would practice 98 hours a day

  • @adamlutton With maths like that, you seem to be prime drummer material.

  • @adamlutton Dude if you practiced that much on your kit you would have that drumset someday.

  • @adamlutton haha fuck logic!

  • @NewYorkJets99 When he was in Washington, I asked him that question. He said anywhere from an hour to six hours. He did not talk much about the exercises though.

  • @rdesrosiers1313 Oh ok. Thank you! I have seen some videos since that comment and he mentioned he was putting in a lot of time when he felt that he could not keep up and was not good enough for LoG, which is obviously not true lol. Probably just self-criticism. How was the experience of meeting him? I would love to be able to talk to him, he seems so nice and down-to-earth. Thanks again! \m/

  • @NewYorkJets99 Chris is a really nice guy. He will do almost anything for his fans. Hell, I asked him to sign my arm so I could get it tattooed over. He was really cool with it. He called me a crazy bastard. XD I met him at Donn Bennet Drum Studio. He was doing his clinic tour. It was a very inspirational experience. If he does another clinic tour I would highly recommend going.

  • @rdesrosiers1313 That's awesome! I figured he is a really nice guy. He seems very realistic about everything and very personable. That is awesome that you are going to get that tattoo as well! I want to see the clinic but the closest they came to me was Long Island I believe and the timing was not good, so I was not able to make it. Anyway, thanks for the information!

  • @NewYorkJets99 A lot of drummers recomend practicing with your feet whatever you do with your hands (doubles, paradiddles, flams, etc.). I'm not great, but it helped me accoplish the little I do on drums...

  • @Baktor Yes, I have heard that as well. It seems very difficult but would definitely pay off in the end. Just a matter of sitting down and taking the time to go through all of it. Thanks for the reply!

  • @NewYorkJets99 No problem man. Always glad to help.

  • @NewYorkJets99: If you want tips from him about his practice go to the video interview he gave to rhythm magazine on youtube

  • @SuperPbizzle Awesome man, thank you very much!

  • @quikstang2 Serious answer, sorry it's taken a while, had intended to tell you the next day, but anyway, I think the only real different thing about his technique compared to other drummers is that he uses longer foot pedals (guitarist, not a drummer, excuse my lack of knowledge for names), and he uses his toes and heels together on either pedal to get the stranger rhythms you hear. The whole 'playing 72 hours a day' thing helps too though, so I'm told.

  • @quikstang2 i thought he played bass?

  • @suxxxez So did I, but he only said guitar during the clinic. Didn't specify regular vs bass...

  • @quikstang2 @suxxxez

    watch?v=qQRww_NVJoQ&feature=related

  • @sidneykylebowman1

    Hope that helps

  • @NewYorkJets99 I'd say a good rule of thumb, if you wanna be good at anything. Prepare to practice A LOT. Youtube Search for excersices/Learn to play LOG Songs. PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE. I'm gonna go do that right now.

  • @MrSmashKab Thank you! Easier said than done, but I know exactly what you mean. I will search that up. Thank you! Keep on drumming and God bless!

  • @MrSmashKab My bad man, I thought you meant a specific video when I read it quick. I have watched videos in the past over and over again and will continue to as time moves on. A lot can be learned through this, as well as a lot of practice, obviously. Check out his 2005 Modern Drummer video and download it on iTunes. I think it's like $6 or $7 or something like that, but worth it. The video never gets old to me lol. Anyway, thanks again! Take care!

  • @NewYorkJets99 Oh yeah, I saw that like when it came out. I was huge into LOG at one point. I have a cover of Pariah that's not half bad you should check that out ;)

  • @MrSmashKab Yeah it never really gets old to me lol. I have been getting into them more lately. I believe that they would not be the same band without Adler though. He really knows how to find the groove well, and he makes it interesting! I love it!

  • @NewYorkJets99 He spontaneously gained his drumming abilities when he grew his beard.
