Citroen are okay, but Lancia, hands down is the best, they're out if business, well mine as well be, they merged with some company I think fiat or something but that being said, I'm a big fan of Subaru, but they still aren't as good as Lancia. I have much respect for they're legacy, and since they're gone, Citroen will surpass them in wins.

You fail part three - more stress comes from the front of the vehicle with most of the pressures and force being applied to the front. You have to consider the front mounted engine (weight factor) while the brakes are applied stresses are put directly on these wheels. Any normal motorist knows this when they change their tyres (fronts always goes first)

My guess is that the problem wasn't the wheels. The bolts wouldn't just break off. Odds are the rear axel broke. It's a common thing to happen when people take their standard street cars and try rally tricks with them. If it was a standard street car I would expect this. However no rally car should break like this. There was clearly a mechanical error when building the car.
