does anyone have a quechua tent? I'm thinking on buying one but i would like to know first if it does warm up easily with sun... was my biggest problem with the last one i bought as i'm going out till late on concerts and after in the morning when you want to rest you just can't because it's too warm... can anyone how tried this tell me if it doesn't happen with this one?? thanks in advance
@blessfireme Every single tent gets super warm in the sun. There's Quechua Air tents which have better ventilation (2 huge "windows" on the side, which can be closed). Try to put it somewhere in shadow if possible.
I have a 15 year old Pop Up Inc. (not sure if that company is still around) tent with almost the exact same design. I love it. It has held up well under much abuse. Learn how to take it down before you take it anywhere. I had some friends borrow mine, they learned how to take it down, but forgot during their trip and had a fun time trying to get it home.
@janrajce my friends and family been using these for 5 years so far, i've never seen one wear. the only problem was someone throwing a stick at it which toe the fabric but that's normal. and we use them to camp on the beach so salt and wind and water
It takes a definite knack to do it, but once you can it's easy! You'll also everyone else asking you to do theirs for them, which makes you feel pretty useful! :) I've got a Quecha pop-up tent from lovingoutdoors and found it fairly easy to 'pop-down' once I actually understood what to do...

Thanks a ton for this video. I got it all down to the last step but I was afraid I was going to break the fiberglass poles. After seeing the video I just went for it and shazam! Back together. The only problem with solving a chinese puzzle every time you put your tent up is how drastically you are improving the odds that Pinhead appears on your camping trip.
Thank the lord for this video. I've just tried putting up / repacking my new XL pop-up and was getting a teeny bit stressed in trying to put it back in its case! I think it's the final fold I couldn't work out, but this video has helped a lot.
This video is spot on, got my new tent, watched this and copied - all went even easier than it looked in video, was laughably simple, can't believe anyone had problems with it after watching this.
Cant understand why some people find it difficult to pack away, Watch this video and pack like this first fold up as in the video, with green tabs in middle then bring your right hand towards your left and fold, then turn the tent around so blue markers are facing up,push down and twist to make figure of eight, then fold over from the right to make the circle and pack away, easy hope this helps.
combine the vid and the instructions and its not too hard ... the key is follow the colour coded marks
its the last bend that i first thought its going to snap ... feels like it might but then it just folds in and thats it done ... just be carefull with the pressure
just tried it, after 3 attempts at figure8'ing it i re-watched this video, and did it first attempt, written/picture instructions are also included but videos are far better
This type of tent is a nightmare. I bought one several months ago. I am on the verge of throwing it away. Sure, it takes 2 seconds to erect, but putting it away back into its carry bag more than makes up for the time save erecting the damn thing. You need to do a special course to do it right I think. Damn the people who designed and manufactured it!
Stick with a lightweight normal tent - 5 mins to erect, 2 mins to pack away. Big deal.
yup, took a couple of shots but got it no problem, hecked here to make sure we were right, we were so it cant be that hard lol, as you say Read the destructions :)
oh to the sweet women who made this video wanna shair the tent hehe kidding. that was a wonderful video now i can fold mines thanks for step by step with no show offs
yeah me too!! I was wondering how to fold it back and thanks to this vid I've made it! it's actually way easier than it looks like, one you know where to grab. thanks!

Glad I've seen the demo, it is pretty bulky and not ideal for cabin baggage.
