this was more like euro dance while mj was just flaky. tone loc was raunchy trash. too bad this was not heard at the time. it is so much better than what MJ and tone loc had out at the same time.
this has a great euro-dance sound. i would have guessed it was out in 1983 not 1988 though. i have no memory of hearing this. did they blacklist him from airplay because he was gay or because this was too much of a euro-dance sound or both? i would have liked this is i heard it but video has too many crotch shots that probably hurt its promotion.

I honestly love this guy, but I just have to say, whoever convinced him to style his hair like that needs to be whipped with a switch by their Grandma
Ohhhh Boyyyy ... how I loved this rythmmmmmmm wayback...it was my fav, dancing tune....haaaaaaa .... I'm gonna get lucky this time ... gosh ... how many times I sang these words....lovely to switch back to the time with this cosy warm tune...
no mike had OUR style,if Mike was here today he'd tell u that we all of us gay black artist from that time, Keith Barrow, DeBarge, Sylvestor was the extreme. We all danced the same and all had that greasy Jeri curl crap in our hair, Mike got lucky and you know what he's dead now, so it's all done and said.
b 4 Mike was weird he used to hang out at a gay club in Chicago, a lot of ppl my age knew Mike Jackson.
thats all I''m going to say, unless I decide to write a book.
@Jacksonfuly and michael jackson danced like James brown...whats your point...most artists borrow from other artists...nothing wrong with that!! its still a great song though!!
This one was one of the first videos I saw, because western satellite channels were allowed to broadcast in public only from the end of 87 in Hungary before falling of the old system itself. Good memories from bad old days....
Looking at music videos from the late 80's now, I am amazed on how much Michael I see in the moves and style... He was a much bigger inspiration than we can ever comprehend...
Closet queens I love them. All that anger is a sign of your true nature. You aint no bad man, just an angry little boy probably surrounded by people who would not accept who you really want to be.
Here is a suggestion. Move and COME OUT OF THE CLOSET!!!
Cuff1957, it's a shame your entire country got a bad cock up it's shitter when you tried to take on a group of peasant farmers in Vietnam and lost. I bet your daddy couldn't wait for shore leave so he could get him some 10 year old poontang.
Are you one of those badly educated people, thats had a shit life, no friends, no money, you sound very bitter! im surre you must get a good kick out of what you do on youtube, but basically you are a sad little crank, come out the closet and admit you are gay also, dont try to beat it, just join us, even some gays, are illiterate, uncool, live a sad empty life, just like you!!!
Is that the year you were born or the last time you said anything interesting? Me and my gay and straight friends loving inviting poor peasants like you to our parties, its so much fun to take the piss out of you, but i think with what you write, it wouldnt be much fun as you probably wouldnt realise it!!!
Now go wash your shell suit and your dirty greasy hair, you are minging! you poor dirty peasant :-D
Cuff 1957: What kind of a daft cunt are you? I really don't understand why people like you feel it neccesary to make nasty comments about people like this. Is it because you are inadequate or inarticulate or were bullied at school maybe? I notice that you appear to be an American. No doubt you come from 'God fearing' stock where your mum is also your sister and that you have 'longtime' with the pigs down on the farm so what other people do in bed should be the leat of your worries.
I'm going to have to find Doc Brown and the time machine so I can go back to the 80's. That kind of coolness just don't fly these days. Plus I would be lucky if I made it down the street without getting my ass kicked looking like that. Only in my dreams.........
this song is far superior to say it again - yet it only reached number 13! god knows why say it again got into the top 5 because its mediocre by 80's standards.
Oh I LOVED this vid! Iremember going to high school after this came out with my hair like this and I got so many stares. This is very PWL sounding. Did the boys produce it??
A really catchy tune from JS - I played the 12inch I have of this to death! I have looked everywhere 4 the video,so thanks very much for the upload mark. A great 80's track that I will always be a fan of. JS you are missed - RIP.
Gonna get lucky. Not in this lifetime. I sure enjoyed his videos. I don't think I ever saw him when he was a regular on Soul Train. He wore some really kickin' wardrobe.
Ich kann mich noch gut an diesen Song erinnern. In Deutschland war Jermaine ein relativ grosser Star... Hatte mehr als nur einen Hit... Cool, ihn wieder zu sehen!
