  • This is a scam! Most of these places charge anywhere from $1400 to $4000 to do paperwork you can do yourself. You contact your lender, see what they want from you. Write a hardship letter, send copies of bank statements, paycheck stubs and w2's. They will see what they can do for you. Don't pay the fees these Modifications companies want you to pay. They are getting busted all over the place by the police agencies. Do your homework.

  • Yes I agree with you. So many people are so much in distraught that they are willing to pay hundreds of dollars in hopes that they can save their home from foreclosure. They even have solicitors calling homeowner's and are giving homeowner's false information. They are preying on people during these tough economic times. The first thing you need to do is call your bank or mortgage company and explain your situation. They will require the proof of income, banks statements, hardship letter.

  • But not all lenders will work with their clients. For instance, if you are with American Home Mortgage Servicing Inc, they will tell you they cannot adjust your loan or do a loan modification. The reason is they are not a lender, they are just a Loan Servicing company that took over for Option one. They service the loans for their investors. And there are a lot of people who were with Option One who's loans are now with AHMSI.

  • If you don't know how to write a hardship letter just google how to write a hardship letter for a loan modification. You will find many examples ,but you may need to change it around to fit your particular situation. Good luck!

  • I like this video. It's too bad that so many people are in the process of losing their home. Foreclosures are going up. I hope loan modifications help people keep their home.

These so called loan modifications haven't helped that many people. Lenders just aren't willing to help.
