  • The intro is soo like Jesse James by Cher. lol

  • 1:02 Were The Black Crowes a hippie band? or was that style just in fashion during their fame?

  • @ramzipeepee

That picture is about two years old so go figure

  • @ramzipeepee They ARE a hippie band. They still do very, VERY well for themselves on the tour circuit too.

  • @ramzipeepee More like just a bunch of southern fried stoners....not hippies! :)

  • @freakiestshayms na id say chris really is a modern day hippy

  • @ramzipeepee they still are a hippy band lol havnt you seen chris talk? hes all about peace love and weed!

  • @litatyas Well ok guys...consider me corrected! No, I haven't heard Chris talk of peace a love...love their songs, but really haven't followed the band members much...but most of their songs aren't the hippie type. But tou'che for you guys <3

  • great post love this song! thaks!

  • off the shake your money maker......I remember gitting hight with my buddy to this album. He is gone now but the song reminds me of him.

  • This is my favorite Black Crowes song. Im from the deep south down in Alabama and I just gotta say, we appreciate The Crowes and their beautiful genius music. There isnt a better band to sit out on the porch and have good times to!

  • @FishCowboy3 Well said my Bama bro ...

  • Reminds me of Sway, from The Rolling Stones. Great song, tough

  • My favorite Black Crowes song. Even like it better than She Talks to Angels

  • music.... not business, not trends, not looks, not pop, no-one's idol, not demographic-specific.... just music that grabs your gut and shakes a tear or two out..

  • So far, out of 123,094 visits, we got 3 Justin Beaver strays.

  • Seeing them next month in Manchester, these men are gods and am lucky enough to be the right age to have enjoyed them from the beginning. However please check out an up and coming British band named SAINT JUDE the singer (Lynne JackaMann) has the voice of an angel and people are already tagging her "the new Janis Joplin"

Diary of a Soul Fiend is the debut album, buy it now!!!!!

Would love to see them open for these guys.

  • I don't know why he says "WAS" one of the genuine rock bands. They are still active and released an album in 2009.

  • The top comments deserve to be up there! "Bluesy" and "hard to listen to", to be specific.

  • three people couldnt figure out how to turn the volume up

  • @1oilfieldtrash Still, 3 out of 123,094 is excellent.

  • These guys sound like a bunch of southern hippies from the 60s but realy they are from the 90s. They are up there with the gods like Led Zeppelin, Lynyrd Skynyrd ect...

    GOD BLESS THE BLACK CROWES!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @ledzeppelin611 Allright to that except that to tag them as "from the '90s" would make people think they are no longer there... No doubt, they have slowed down a lot from there on, but I wish to believe there will be at least one more album by the crowes!!!!

  • I soooo Love these brothers~♥~

  • @circumpunk - yes indeed, a great tune my southern bro ...

  • I FUCKIN LOVE YOU PEOPLE

  • I'm trying to imagine.... Sun shining, beer in hand, i have a Scotland flag tied around my neck. Big bright light wheel way in the background. I left my tent safe and secure with beer for the next day safe. Happy. i will eat on monday will wash on tuesday and will keep my wrist band for 12 months til the next T IN THE PARK. FESTIVAL SEASON.........

  • @greenthumb1500 thats exactly what i thought, same era similar genre either way i love it all

  • @greenthumb1500 sorta reminds me of their cover of Knockin on Heavens door

  • Love this song !!! Thanks

  • This song makes reminds me of being at a party somewhere and everyone else is laughing and having a good time and you're watching it all but you can't enjoy it. That's because the one thing in the world you want you cannot have. Maybe it's a person, maybe it's something else.

  • They should have a Love It button!!!

  • How do I find mp3iifffy to download this song? I was told to google mp3iifffy.

  • If you didn't know better, this could be a Stones song from the Sticky Fingers era. Music style is right there, just substitute Mick's voice for CRs.

  • @motonole would gladly subsitute Mick's 'voice' for CR's anyday, lol!

  • Also my First concet at 16 Man that was F'kn Fun !!!!!

  • My very first concert was the crowes when this album was new...they are still one of my favorites!!!

  • The Black Crowes bring out some strange feelings in me, the reason i love them so much is my dad used to play them so much when i was little, me and him are not on good terms anymore and i have not seen him for years but i still love the band and they deffently stur some strange feeling in me, all their songs are great and are so full of emotion.

  • The lyrics and vocals are haunting and the guitar is just beautiful... it is simply unfathomable that Chris and Rich were roughly 20 when they wrote this...just unreal.

  • What a great song !!!!!!! Rock on Crowes

  • New Album Sept 1 ! Tell your friends - support your local rock band

  • awesome tune!!!!!!!!

for such a long time i always thought , for the first part of the chorus, he said,

"sister lover" instead of "sister luck"

  • this song is so beautiful its almost hard to listen to sometimes

  • This was one of the great genuine rock bands. It has the bluesy sounds and you know you are listening to some great authentic music.

  • still is my friend check out Warpaint 2008

saw them at Brixton at the weekend and they rocked

may heckle n jeckle crow for a long ,long time

  • damm striaght ! listen to that high voltage twin.. nothing sounds like that..

  • Ditto Pal

  • Truly underrated and underappreciated for their contribution to music.

  • Perfectly stated.

  • One of my Fav songs of all time.

  • The essence of "Southern-Rock" was seen.

  • ¡Gracias por el video!, la mejor canción del Shake Your Money Maker...

  • well, i must apologise. it seems i am a curse on the guitarists of the black crowes.

i met jeff cease backstage at donington monsters of rock, and he was fired a few months later, then i met marc ford at the tail end of the amorica tour, and he only lasted one more album, and i also met colt at the same show.

i cant help but think i should stop trying to meet members of this great band. LUCKILY, i never met the brothers robinson, or im sure they would be finished now

  • This is my 2nd fav song they ever made. Amazing band especially in their live performances.

  • This is my favourite track on SYMM ,from my favourite band, ive stuck so many comments on so many tracks, they never let you down, imo every album is a killer from this one to Warpaint

    they are the dogs bollocks

    Amen..

  • ten stars the song

  • Agreed. I wish Colt and Ford were still with them too. This particular lineup reminds me of a particular time in my "growing up years," hence my own reason why I prefer it.

  • nice. ;-)

  • Shake Your Moneymaker was an awesome album, well, you know... cd or cassette. lol I don't remember one song being 'filler' material on that album. Still love those tracks even after all these years. Brings back memories...

  • This is truly a great song. Thanks for putting this together !!!!

  • I adore this song so much... I was also amazed that there was no studio version on youtube(or at least a clip with decent audio).

Nightsinwhitesatin6 thank you very much:), I appreciate it.

  • Yes, this song is simply amazing :)
