  • HAHAHAHA WHIPOUT!

  • This Calsonic R34 GT 500 had all the power but wasn't able to put it down to the road properly. Watch the rear car's point of view here (NSX). w3.youtube.com/watch?v=Smx-4fW4tH4

The NSX GT 500 was much much easier to drive. Had no problem putting pressure on the R34, and its onboard cam showed that the R34 was very unstable coming into and out of corners.

Could be driver skill or chassis fine tuning problem.

  • レーシングアクシデントにしろ故意にしろ当て方がうまいな。

    カートのプッシングみたい

  • Are you sure he didn't drag the rear tires by downshifting from what looks to be 6th gear @ 230km/h down to 2nd gear in a matter of 2 or 3 secs? I dunno if they have an automated rpm matching process in the ecu but i didn't hear any revving to match the lower selected gears. Fast wheel speed + low engine speed + clutch engagement = rear tires slipping

  • @TERAKAIJER It looks that way, in the last corner he just downshifts far too quickly, and the rear isn't having any of it.

He also broke about 25 metres too late.

    Car looks pretty over-steery.

Either the tyres are badly worn, or he is just immensely shit at driving.

  • po ele eh bom no carro. Existe muita diferença de um F1 e de um carro desses. Eh o custume,.

  • I think he gets bumped by the NSX on the last corner so he spins the guy to take back his position.

  • @daugbret actually, he doesn't get bumped, it was pure driver error or something. There's a vid. of the NSX's point of view. Unfortunately I can't link you too it, or at least I don't know how. Anyways, search "JGTC onboard Suzuka", it'll be the first result uploaded by "soppoi". It looks like the NSX is "pushing" him to make a mistake the whole time, my guess is knocking the NSX off the track is revenge >=3

  • @polarablues64 Thanks for pointing that out!

  • Yuji Ide did win Round 8 in the Calsonic Skyline GTR for JGTC 2003.

  • Now thats an interesting way to overtake, I've never seen that before! xD

  • Even a kid drives better than him

  • Comment removed

  • The bang and pop's are from the anti lag system.

  • He would have been penalized for that =P

  • i hope this car drives better on Gran Turismo 5 lol

  • lol aggressive driving too much?

  • Disgraceful that such a fucktard is allowed on the track. A child could drive better.

  • anyone who knows anything about racing or has ever driven on a track knows that this car is handling like complete shit. He is battling with a car that has terrible oversteer problems. People should think before commenting.

  • Not a good traction

  • Need for Speed Shift?

  • the Nissan is very nice! The driver is very very baaad!! :D

  • ROFL HE SPINS SOMEONE 2:16

  • lol @ last corner

    was good until then :)

  • for those people with no practical professional racing experience wanting to comment on how terrible Ide is at driving, I suggest you all just do us a favour and please leave out your silly comments... 99.99999999% of the comments on here were probably made but people who have not got the first clue about racing....

  • i never seen A pro driver struggles with his steering as bad as his one at suzuka. he's a bad driver, i dun care wat u guys say..

  • @diwant you are right.. looks like bad setup ... tho the car looks very VERY twitchy!

  • you know a lot about driving technique.

  • $€/?12

    21exd']imrgnum[]/[

  • he's a very exciting driver to watch

  • Lol you guys are critiquing a professional driver.

  • the arrogance and utter ignorance of all the youtube posters will never ever run out. they know so little about what they're talking about that they cant even begin to understand the concept that they are so, so very wrong.

  • @chrismodiano his passes at the start were pretty good, the only reason he didn't do well in f1 was because he was inexperienced at the time

  • @Raven05R6 Lol you think Yuji Ide is professional

  • @EnnesX In 2003, he was a professional driver...show me your sponsors and your race license, then you can critique over the internet as much as you want.

  • @Raven05R6 Of course he is "professional", but have you been living under a rock for the last decade? Aren't you familiar with his career at all? The guy sucks man, and not just a little, he sucks a lot. I don't know why you are vehemently defending the guy anyway, unless you are a Ide fan, and if you are, I apologize, because I didn't know those existed. Who says you need to do something for a living to critique it? Can you tell the dif between a good/bad jumpshot/golfstroke/cooking

  • @EnnesX No, you can't tell the difference. There are plenty of professionals that have extremely unorthodox techniques and styles. Everyone knows how much this guy sucks compared to his other professionals. You are trying to make judgments on this guy OVER THE INTERNET watching only 3 minutes of the COCKPIT VIEW. He can't be that bad, he made it to F1, the most prestigious racing in the world. All I ask is that people take a slightly more objective look at this, as they are not pros.

  • @Raven05R6 Yes I can tell the difference you retard. Tons of people including me drive recreationally even if we don't do it for a living. I am not making a judgment on 3 minutes of video, I have been witnessing his career since JGTC to F1 to post F1 to involvement in motorsport journalism. He didn't "make it" to F1. He has some deep connection with Aguri Suzuki that landed him that seat. And how retarded is your logic? Do you need to be a pro chef to critique food?

  • @EnnesX No need to name-call, you are taking this way too seriously. You can critique a pro-chef as much as you want, if you have no presence or experience in the industry, no one will give a f@#$ about your opinion and people will laugh at you. Thanks for such an accurate analogy.

  • @Raven05R6 So if a pro chef cooks something up and it tastes like shit to you, you would have painted yourself into a logical corner with no recourse. hahaha

  • @EnnesX "Car racing is like sex, all men think they're good at it"

  • awful oversteer

  • Yuji Ide is a shit driver in general, not just at F1. He bad at driving sports cars, even worse in single seaters, and when he somehow manages to get too F1, watching him there is like watching a clown trying to unicycle across a tight rope!

  • he has trouble with consistancy!

  • Very bad driver. He take out the NSX two times.

  • GET OUT OF MY WAY STUPID NSX

  • That gu can't be Ide. In F1 he was the worst drivere ever, here he is very good.

  • @lukaszlew77 here he was NOT at all good did you see the wayhe drove.

his car was more or less a good car but his shite driving skills skrewed it up.

hes suck a clown he shud not he even aloud a MSA licence how,how did he get out buy it off ebay? any retard can go in a car and race it takes skill to win just look at ayrton senna he did not have the best car did he but did he win the world champions ? YES he did

  • See the " JGTC onboard Suzuka " video to see the NSX driver´s point of this battle.

    Ide sucks, for real.

  • You can see why Ide didnt last long in F1. hes not even smooth in this car. I understand it probably is hard to be smooth in this car with all this HP but come on. First he ran off the track and then the next corner he took the NSX out. Do that in an open wheeler i think we all know what happens

  • Just ask Christijan Albers.

  • Ide was never given a fair break in F1. and yes while his failures were funny it goes deeper than that. He is a good driver, but just look at the circumstances he came into F1 With. Super Aguri had been hastily put together...with a 4 year old car, he did not know the tracks or speak English. He has something like 3 days in the car before Bahrain as well. If he had gotten a development year who knows he could have gone well. But having said all that, i like Davidson and im glad he's in the car.

  • And there were other difficulties for him.I read somewhere that his seat in the Super Aguri was in fact Frentzen seat's from 2002!

  • Some rookie drivers just do not know the tracks but Yuji came straight from Japan and with Super Aguri was plunged pretty much into the deep end. Most teams have simulators etc, Super Ag' did not even exist a couple of months before. A difficult car, a team with a difficult birth and so much more. It was doomed from the start and you have to feel sorry for Ide.

  • not exactly a 'battle'

  • Far! he totally spun out the other NSX! sad one!

  • In Formula 1 there's "Mafia" that's why Ide is not still driving, and like him, Liuzzi, Pantano. If you remember, in 2002 Mark Webber was so fast with Minardi, exactely like Alonso. But he hadn't so much luck, and he is still a "Middle" driver. Alonso, is 2 times world champion...

  • Weird how he "saws" with the wheel all the time. Looks like very unbalanced car or then tyres are worn.

  • Yeah, definitely, he shouldn't get that loose on entry to the corner especially.

  • @deggis4 Why is that referred to as "saw" ing?

Didn't know there was a word for it - usually they're just referred to as "minor adjustments to the wheel" or whatever :)

"Saw" is actually the term for minor steering corrections?

If yes, do you know why?

  • @tjbayliss I have no idea. I have seen it used often, but I'm not sure if I have understood it correctly...

  • Nice driving!
