we use to add the shingle dust or rock which ever ya want to call it to static grass to add some color and different texture to the grass we dipped the figs into to base em..the comp. is on going to be a fun ride my friend, and got to say your looking good ;)
Man you are a huge help and inspiration and your teaching is top notch!! I have made (shoddy) replicas of most of your projects on the channel and your genourous introductions tomother you tubers is really cool, thanks man tou have enhanced the hobby for me, by the way do you make any scale models, if so a video on that could be kinda cool, anyways, keepmodeling, keepteaching man yor awesome!!
@chuckers08 Thanks very much! It's very rewarding to know that I'm helping and inspiring people! That is, after all, why I started putting up vids in the first place. Unfortunately, I don't do any scale modelling. Check out SMConsortium!
And I'd LOVE to see some of the work you've done! Throw some vids up, or a slide show or two! I'm sure they're much better than shoddy! And you probably have developed some tips yourself that could help folks out! :D Thanks so much for watching!
@SMConsortium AH! Brilliant! I'll have to see if I can find something to use for sconces. And make some new torches so that the flames will be pointing up instead of shooting out of the wall! :)
Amazing what a lick of colour does to a model, already begining to look spooky. Hope you dont make the grave look too fresh, they might look odd as the gravestones are so dishevelled and weathered by time. The torches are fantastic, never seen those made before .. I think they'd make a nice short 'how to..' vid at a later date as little things like that can be used in so many ways on models and miniature convertion props. Look forward to Day4 and more fun, enjoying this contest, thanks.
@Lostsoul1889 Thanks for the kind words! I'm really glad you're enjoying it! I'll definitely be doing a how-to on the torches. I've been getting a lot of requests for that and it's so easy it's scary! And don't worry...I'll be making everything look nasty and dishevelled! There's lots of flock blending to do with those things yet! :D
Wow Cotton bud torches ! How cool! This is going to look so good. The colour is going to make the whole thing pop into realism. Your are really good at visualizing building structures and bringing them to life.
@TheRealMythril Thank you young miss! That really means a lot coming from you! I'm glad someone suggested the torches, cause otherwise this was starting to look like a black and white photo! :D
You da man! That is looking awesome. Those torches are just sic! They look so real. Right at the doorway is a great spot like you indicated. Also, to heighten the effect, may I humbly suggest doing some object source lighting on the mausoleum? But it is your work, far be it from me to tell you how to proceed. Just a thought.
@Generalsplatton Thanks bud! I was pretty pleased (and quite surprised) with how those torches came out...and how incredibly easy it was! I was thinking about the source lighting, but I've never done it before so a) I don't know if I'll have time to figure it out and b) I'm scared of it! :D I may try it if I have some time to practice on something else first! Gonna have to figure it out eventually!
Hey Bud. Been out of pocket for a while. Ctching up with the vids.. Those torches came out SUPER. thanks for the mention.

Looking good. The torches will be a nice touch. Should do a tutorial on those for sure as I'd guess a few people aren't sure how you made them.

@MoreDakka101 Thanks! Will definitely be doing a torch tutorial! Getting a lot of requests for it!

Is the camera on?? lol Dude, giving variety to the channel is awesome! :) Doesn't have to always be tutorials but those always help. :P

@SMConsortium Yup! I like to switch around once in a while. I just wanted to reassure some folks that I wasn't going to STOP teaching! :)
