Hey! Therehjust isn't enough time in one persons lifetime to play all the dfferent types of music styles that The Master excels at. I went nuts for him and his music late 60s, followed him into his Hank era...at that age it was my personal introduction to bluegrass...played this album all over the Monmouth college campus and converted quite a few deadheads! Leon does it better than most anyone before or since. Thank you Leon!

Leon Russell. Of all damn people. Over the years, I have amazed many of mah C&W/BG friends w/this here albumn. I play this for 'em, then ask, "Who's that?" They never guess. Drugged-out hippie or not, Leon Russell made some damn good music. "Back To The Island." Lord, some good music. "Hank Wilson's Back" includes the best versions of "Sweet Baby's Arms," "Just Because," and "Six Pack to Go," among others, that you will ever hear anywhere, and I mean anywhere.
