I definitely say "KEEP the COLOR!" It should be ur happy place. Your gut instincts tell u that u should keep the color. Trust them. I think that an art studio should be full of the colors that we love and inspire creativity. I think that it looks fab. Your cake was adorable too!

She definitely has a vision as do you. However since she is being paid, she should accept the challenge to incorporate your color and keep it looking modern to fit in with the rest of your house. The issue is your studio is so integrated into your beautiful modern home that it has to work with it. Personally, I say keep the color but cover it all with large doors or fabric. When you open it up it is colorful and when you close it up it blends well with the rest of the house. cheers, dave

do not listen to a designer who doesnt mesh with your view or vision ....hun your style needs nothing from anyone else... the vibrant colors of your art room are wonderful...so many personal expressions have made this space unique... you already expressed how happy this room makes you feel..this spills over into other rooms. change nothing about this room. continue to express a lovely colorful life for yourself, your children and your friends!

I go to Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, GA (USA), and we actually have been talking about the science of color recently in my Applied Creative Thinking class. SO, I REALLY hope you kept your lovely warm colors because our professor let us know that white walls and such have been proven to LOWER your IQ!!!

I think white - beautiful fresh white - COUPLED with lovely, gorgeous colours - just soft and sweet OR clean and fresh like the outdoors - my place is green and clean white with splashes of orange and fuschia and dashes of brown for drama - but there's also white with oceanic blues, turquoises and lovely corals....I could go on! So, I think white with colour is so pretty - maybe you just need to see some examples first? And you can add sparkly things- mirrors, mother-of-pearl ...go 4 it!

You're lovely. Listen to your gut Always. The most important thing is for you to love your room. Then when others enter it will be filled with your wonderful happy energy. Great to have others assist your vision but not dictate. I'm disappointed to hear the person you hired didn't pick up that this is your style & work out something wonderful that represents you.
