Well, the reserve they are in now "Laohu Valley Reserve" is actually converted to a reserve from 17 defunct sheep farm. So unfortunately before we bought this land, there are no ecosystem or any wildlife here, the only animals here were farm animals like horses, sheeps etc. In fact, we had to reintroduce wildlife like wildebeests and blesbucks back to this land, so unfortunately there are no leopards nor hyenas here.

Yes, it is a south china tiger raised in South Africa. This is no wildlife farm, but a fenced off wildlife reserve in S.A. The reason why they are brought to S.a is because China does not have enough land, expertise or game for the Tigers to regain their hunting abilities. South China tigers are critically endangered and less than 30 remain in the wild, only 70 exist in captivity and all of them are descended from just 6 wild caught founders. So rewilding and releasing them is the only option.

Yes, you are right. However these Tigers are considered Semi-wild animals because they have been brought to Africa to be rewilded and have learnt to hunt prey on their own.
