  • BEFORE YOU WATCH: he is going to tell you that he is going to tell you how to bias your tubes. Then he tells you take the back cover off. Then go to the next segment.

  • He sounds like he hates his job.

  • What is the safest way to discharge a capacitor? (I'd hate to think this is using a screwdriver to short out the terminals on the cap). Thanks.

  • ExpertVillage: "alright guys, lets find a complete moron who doesn't know ANYTHING about what he's talking about, get him to do the video, and have him read off a card..."

  • @rillafilla18 What did he do wrong?

  • in our next segment, we will tell you more about the segment that comes after that.

  • all i heard was blah, blah, blah.

  • Hi, I'm Jeff, IdiotVillage has sucked my entire personality out of me. Poor guy...

  • Oh Geez! He is clearly reading a Card that his buddy is holding up for him behind the Camera...lol. What A fucking Moran.

  • How do you know if your amp needs it? I have this pignose I cant get to go clean. Its always slightly muddy or over driven. The guy I bought it from said the power tubes were brand new and the speaker was.....so im thinking that might be why I cant get it to go clean?

  • @teamhex have you tried lowering the volume on your guitar? if not then maybe its just not great at cleans.

  • @MattPurkis Yeah, it was just a guitar volume thing. It over drives at pretty low volumes so iv learned adjust it since then.

  • It fails if i have to watch adverts on sucha crappy video.... thumps up this if its true...

  • This may be off topic, but, if i put a ibanez ts9 infront of my tube amp, will i not have that tube tone?

  • Probally not unless its a tube amp. A tube screamer is made to overdrive tubes

  • @LordOfThisWorld74, how about a distortion pedal?

  • You may be able to get a dual rectifier like tone out of a metal zone or something BUT your not gonna have the transparent sound a tube amp would have. Tube amps respond to your playing a and the dynamics in your playing shine through. If I was you, I would save up and get a tube amp. Check out Jet City amps or Bugera amps. They both make very cheap tube amps that sound amazing. Hope this helps

  • @LordOfThisWorld74, I have a tube amp...I said that. i was asking if the tube feel would be COMPLETELY lost if I put a distortion pedal infront of it like a Jekyll and Hyde Distortion...

  • Oh haha sorry man. Didnt notive that. I dont have much experience with distortion pedals but im pretty sure a distortion will sound the same on any amp, solid state and tube. Your gonna be running it through the clean channel anyway so its gonna be a pretty dry signal. I would personally just get a overdrive pedal. If your amp wont give you the screaming gain you want then go grab a distortion pedal.

  • @LordOfThisWorld74, think of the guitar tone of ACDC's TNT. That's what I get out of my amp on six with no effects. How can I push this into something like a Green Day, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, area of gain? I dont want any shitty tinny sound, I still want my tube feel.

  • Oh thats what your wanting. An overdrive pedal would be perfect. Try a Boss SD-1 or a Ibanez tube screamer. That will help ALOT

  • The Tube Screamer TS9 is great for pushing your amp's gain into heavier overdrive. It tends to be very bassy on amps with a decent lower end, so you will may have to tweak some settings but it's a great great pedal.

  • @InFuriatedShadows put something in front of it. i know you said no effects , but if its got a volume controll , wack that up full on a low gain (on the pedal) . something like an ibanez tube screamer is ideal.

  • is it me or does he look like jack black o.O?

  • I have been looking for honest videos for vacuum tubes but all I find are the expertvillage videos.

  • Why are all expertvillage videos a minute long and not helpful at all?

  • @wdwalter1016 And why are they always so depressed !?

  • boring

  • BEWARE! These videos are loaded with subliminal messages designed to destroy your moral values.

  • As long as they dont kill my voltage values

  • These videos are bad enough to do that without the need for subliminal messages

  • @bigfig1900 lol ???

  • @bigfig1900 lol?

  • how many times you turn your amp on and it you give the tubes enough time to warm up plays the biggest roll in my opinion

  • 'expertvillage' videos are bullshit- all their videos on youtube are nothing but totally commercialized garbage ... complete waste of time- BULLSHIT!

  • All these 1 minute videos are stupid? Why are they not bright enough to just make a longer video with the complete info in it? What a bunch of losers.

  • it depends on how loud and long you play the amplifier

  • ~2 yrs

  • how long does a tube last?

  • year or two

  • Your retardedddddddddddddd tubes last so long depending on how old they are. my buddys got a high watt from the 60's with original tubes. hes taken them out and put them on his tube tester and they still score "good"

  • how often do you play with your amp cranked?

  • Honestly, by by the sounds of snapascrew's comment I say... never.
