What I will say about those in this community is they know how to party. Years ago I used to be part of the fireworks set ups at the slease ball and mardi gras parade. My memories are of people who enjoy spending money to put on some serious parties.

I have some great footage shot from a rooftop at taylors square, one day it will see the light of tube.

No thankyou! The footage was alot more realistic than the foxtel - making out everyone to be metrosexual by automatic preferance - Your pictures were more raw and realistic, the broadcast made out everyone to be rich and happy or not existent.

Was the route of the parade changed this year? The street seems narrower; in other occasions it looked like it was a wider highway. You didn't get to march?

It started at a later spot this year and where I was it was slighly narrower. I do not march every year as you miss the parade. Awesome parade :)

@cctps Not sure you are right that the UK Pride events are crap - they are held during the day time and I have seen a lot of imaginative floats etc.

@johncrwarner I've only been going to Pride events for the last 3 years, but all I've experienced is naff Z-list celebrities and an array of people coked and pilled up to their eyeballs. Guess I've only got an opinion of what Pride is like nowadays.

@cctps - you presumably went to the Pride festival thing after the parade - the Parade is by far the best bit or at least was when I loved near London.

Brighton Pride is supposed to be better too as it is smaller, local and more flamboyance and less Z-list there because they are contracted to be.
