Israel protects its country and people using all methods possible, which they have to because Israel is surrounded by Arab countries that declare Israel's destruction so Israel HAS to be tough in order to protect its country and people!!

Whoa, first comment. It is entirely possible that Israel may have sent spies (I doubt part of Mossad) to watch the Arabic population. Mall security is surprisingly very thin, and a crowded mall is a pretty good target to do catastrophic damage. After 9/11, a wave of importance would be shifted. Agents would have to reroute and re-plan most of their operations.
