49th like. this is awesome, i remember watching the roadrunners at my grandparents house in AZ. they used to chill with my grandpa's pigeons and eat the food if he ever left the can open. lol
Good observation.I live on top of the hill. What your hearing is the train passincag through the valley below. Former George Air Force Base is 10 miles away and now a civilian airport. You can barely hear the airplane sound from my place. Sorry to tell you I don't live there anymore. I missed the wild birds, rabbits, and sometimes coyotes and occasional flying eagle dropping by to feast with unfortunate victims: the birds.
Before this video was taken, the roadrunner has just eaten two large insect larvae and still looking for more. As you can see the bird is looking upward because there are more insects flying in and around the trees. Thank you for your keen observation.
Thanks for posting this! I've been trying to vid one local RR for over a year on my back deck, and this is all I'll have to watch for now!! How'd you get him to last that long--ours is zippier than a hummingbird.

wouldn't it be hilarious to put a real coyote near it and see what happens?
OGRM 2 years ago 63
@OGRM= A chase would ensue, and the coyote would end up falling off a cliff, or hit by a Mack truck.
