I really did not know what I was getting into when I responded. Thanks for your video suggestion it was helpful. I did not realize that Hyperpreterist deny a litteral 2nd coming and resurrection. Keep up the good work.
Hyperpreterists are sneaky like that -it is like when a Mormon comes knocking at your door, they don't even tell you they are Mormon anymore -they use the term "church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints" -see how legitimate that sounds?
Hyperpreterism by its very nature MUST claim there has been a 2000 year conspiracy where Christians have been too dumb to understand what hyperpreterists are now claiming. Don't fall for it no matter how "smooth & flattering" they sound (see Rom 16:17-18)
I have tried to post 2 separate videos, and they are being edited from their original format, I am assuming from compression during uploading. I have also tried to post corresponding Scriptures, but for some reason, not all of my comments are being posted. I do not know how to correct this, at this time.
That's a clever tool. Every time that verse is referenced it links to that section of your video commentary regarding 70 A.D.
To alleviate numerous questions for me to answer: It isn't important what "I say," but it is crucial what "Christ said," and what the Bible states definitively.
Due to the limitation of characters allowed, I will create a video response to be posted at a later time where it can be answered at length.
The Preterist Problem is that Christ did not come back in 70. So the 2nd coming of Christ is future. There is no way around that. Yes 70 is significant as all of church history is as well, but the reality is Christ has yet to return and set up a literal Davidic kingdom on this earth. Our expectation as Christians is the resurrection of the dead at Christ's return. How do preterist handle this?
Again, Swenner64 you are making declarations of your belief without Scriptural evidence. Please provide what Scriptures state that there will be a physical bodily resurrection, as well as a literal Davidic kingdom established. Thank you.
Are you saying that the Church is the fullness of the coming Kingdom? I don't deny that the Church has aspects of the kingdom but is not the fullness of the Kingdom. The Kingdom is the Age to come. I agree that the age to come has broken into this age. Which means aspect of the kingdom are now in the Church, but we are not yet experiencing the fullness of Christ's reign. If you want a reference from Acts I would point to Acts 1:6-8.
How you are formulating your questions are applying your understanding of Scripture versus what the Bible states is indicative of the Kingdom. Where do you find that the age to come is broken into this modern age, as well as how you are defining the aspect of the kingdom are now in the modern church? It is best to establish what Bible verse is the foundation of your belief. To reason the Scriptures, you need to have Scriptures present.
The coming of the Spirit is a manifestation of the Kingdom but not the fullness of it. The Age to come will be inaugurated by the 2nd Coming of Christ. Why else are we taught to pray "thy kingdom come"
Christ gave the Lord's prayer as the proper "manner" in which to pray. For Christ said not one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. If we were still under the law - Why is it that we are not now performing animal sacrifices for the remission of sins today? Do you actually believe that after Christ was given up as the Omega Lamb, that there will ever be a reinstatement of animal sacrifice?
jews are planning it today....! u tube ancient samarian passover...christians tv station in my area has donated gold to the jewish agency for temple relics! did u know they are burning new testaments on lag bar omer in israel...u tube israel news report...
One is in Luke 19 :11-27 clearly teaches that the Son of man is going to go away to receive a kingdom than come back we will be rewarded how we have used the things that Christ has given us.
I appreciate the kindness shown in these responses. Could you please give the exact verse in Acts where you referenced Christ stating that the Kingdom would be delayed?

I would still like the chapter and verse in Acts that you referenced Him telling of a delay, please.
The reference you gave in Luke 19:11-17 is demonstrating Christ's leaving and His return. Not a length of time or delay.
Christ said in Luke 17:21 ...For behold, the Kingdom of God is within you [in your hearts] and among you [surrounding you].
Verse 11 is Him going to prepare a place in Heaven; see John 14:2 - In My Father's house...for I am going away to prepare a place for you.
