@TheSillylizard I don't think you understand the concept. This is a list of TEAMS not PROGRAMS. In terms of programs, Alabama is probably neck-and-neck with Notre Dame for #1 IMO. The '61 Bama team, one of the best defensive teams in history, is my first team listed outside of the top ten on this list.

@blueisbest7 Some argue they weren't even the best team that year. They never played Harvard, Yale, or Princeton, the big boys of college football that season. Those teams looked at Michigan the way we look at Boise State and TCU today.
