L4D2 is outstanding! I absolutely adore playing on the internet along with our buddies. Most of us dled the free of charge version and play on-line all of the time. Everyone can grab it at L4D2dlXcom (replace X with . ) . You all will really like it!
You were playing on easy mode, there's no way you can stand outside and set off the alarms and keep alive that easily. Try it on expert and then you'll see. Also it's not the 'beta' it's the demo, available for people who pre-order the full game.
