  • this is really amazing actually! ... I cant believe you actually succeeded with this, I cant wait to try the clicker training on mine when i get them delivered here in April. Have you ever had a thought of this leading to ABS syndrome and them becoming imprinted on you> ... or do you only teach clicker training to your females? ... just a thought of mine :p ... AWEOMSE WORK THOUGH LOVE IT!!!

  • @gangpo Thanks. . No, I do not think ABS will be a problem. Both herd  were herd raised and learned their respectful places with alpacas and humans. I do not allow them to become pushy over treats. . If I see any over eager treat behavior, I make them wait for the treat until I say they can take it. If Gypsy gets a bit jealous waiting for his turn, he either goes in the barn by himself. I emphasize manners all the time. I only have these two gelded males.

  • @lklik6 I give them cut up carrots almost all the time. In winter when it is very cold, I also use alpaca rations.
