Luca Badoer dominated the 1992 Formula 300 championship. And what reward did he get for it? A catalogue of bullshit shoestring equipment leased from Ferrari fourth-hand. Minardi (not so bad by comparison), Forti, Scuderia BMS or whatever the Hell they were called. Nobody could have scored points in that awful lot. Luca was the Ferrari test driver by 1999, but even then the team snubbed him for no real reason when replacing Schuey. Badly overlooked. The '09 stand-in race seat came too late.

The worst part is had he kept going, Schumacher's puncture would have promoted Luca to the podium.

I felt so sorry for Badoer when I saw this. He deserved much more than he got. He should've got the Ferrari seat instead of Salo, when Schumi broke his leg. 2009 was way too late for the poor guy.

@Kostersseri He got it when Massa got hurt.. Qualyfied in 20th with a Ferrari, 1,5 sec. off pace.. Luca he the worst pilot in F1 history, he never scored in 58 races. that says alot.

@JONICRACHATLEITAO Yes, but that was in 2009. And like I said, that was way too late for Badoer. He had not raced for 10 years, and beacuse of that seasons rules he could hardly do any testing. If he got that Ferrari seat earlier, like when Schumacher broke his leg, I bet he could've done way better.

I remember watching this live and I felt just as gutted as Luca because for small teams its more than just points, its sponsorship bonuses as well. Saying that he didn't do himself any favours last year in that Ferrari.

Quel giorno venne da piangere anche a me, in una inquadratura precedente si era intravista una vettura argentata che si stava fermando in corsia box ed istivamente esclamai: "Badoer", ed era lui... il 4° o 5° cambio rotto in quella stagione. Quando il destino ce l'ha con te non c'è niente da fare...
