It would have been a great capture scene if he had attempted either one instead of trying to use brute force to capture her.

I totally agree with you:with her Amazon powers, you would think that Wonder Woman would be able to defend herself when she is being chloraformed. These scenes would be more believable if the villian removed Wonder Woman's magic belt before knocking her out with the chloraform;at least Wonder Woman would have an excuse for being chloraformed so easily, as she is completely helpless when her magic belt is removed.
