  • Adam was really Bill Constable Jr..I worked with his dad, Bill senior at Sylvania. Bill was the best salesman I ever knew. I remember being at Bill's house in Willoughby Hills, when he was still building it..Bill senior was a good friend..RIP Bill

  • Magnífica expresión del Rock and Roll de los 60a y 70as, desde Guatemala a todos los amantes del rock and roll clásico , sinfónico y progresivo, good day 4 de Agosto del 2010

  • What a voice!

  • This gives me chills. Thank you to Joe Madigan and his Retro Radio show for giving this beautiful song and so many other local and rare treasures airplay.

  • I, TOO was from the Mayfield class of '70. This is an all time GREAT song and memory of the time. Thanks.

  • This brings back memories. Wow.

  • Damn, I'm having a flash back from the early 70's. Did a Google search for Chesterland Hullabalo and this came up. God those were the good ole days! Hullabaloo was my refuge. Spent many a nights there with my gal pal groupies.

  • @GypsyGirl12 Hullabaloo Clubs! Spent a lot of time in them too on stage and off. Chesterland and Mentor. Saw Bob Seeger at Mentor once. James Gang almost every Friday night somewhere when I was in HS! The good old days is right!

  • thanks for posting this video.i had this song when it first came out on a 45rpm and played it so much i wore it out.

  • Fall of 1969 this song was all over the Cleveland air waves, while performing it in the above video I was overwhelmed with memories of just how cool a time it was. (We never covered Grand Funks, "Closer to Home" but we did open shows for them in several cities , really down to earth guys). Many thanks to all of you for the memories...

  • Did they do GFR's Closer To Home?

  • Back in the early 70's, I saw them, Glass Harp, Raspberries, AP, and the infamous Dragonwyck around Cleveland. Loved those solos too, great jammin! Cleveland did ROCK!

  • What an AWESOME rock band. One of the BEST rock and roll band to come from Cleveland. And they're super cool too. John

  • I almost forgot.......to the Constable brothers, Goooo Mayfield!!!! I was class of '70.

  • I was in the same class. Kent State happened. Let it Be. The Long and Winding Road. The Beatles broke up. Norman Greenbaum's Spirit in the Sky. So much more....

  • Awesome! One of favorite local bands. I used to see them play at the Chesterland Hullabaloo a lot. I still have their 2nd and 3rd albums on vinyl.

  • They were at the Beachland Ballroom April 2007 and were totally awesome!

  • April 27th to be exact. And they were as happy to see everyone as we were to see them. I also had the priveledge of meeting them 3 days before the show when they appeared on Retro Radio (88.7 FM) with Joe Madigan. They're all great guys !! John

  • Yes, John, I know. I was right in front of the stage. First one let in the door when they opened. Jimmy Quinn came out before the show, as the president of their fan club was a girl I happened to be talking to. He says to me "I think I remember you". {I think he was just being nice, but thats okay}. Yes, they are totally awesome. I absolutely LOVE them!

  • Thanx, Bobsblues, for keeping the memory of this great band alive! Those of us who were fortunate enough to have seen them back when they were in their prime know that they never got the recognition they deserved - and as everyone can see from this and the other videos, why they didn't is STILL a mystery!!! Keep them coming!!!

  • Okay DOAB ........ I LOVE YOU GUYS!!! You're blowing your Yesteryear fans away!!! You're blowing your Newbie fans away!!! WHEN.......... will the rest of US get to see the original band perform live???? That ... would be a "technicolor daydream from a mile inside our mind." And the base player is totally HOT!!

Not everyone post comments here. But all I hear is DOAB. DOAB. DOAB. DOAB.

Kudos to Bobsblues for posting this. Let's see some more of one of the greatness rock bands ever!!

  • WOW! Where did this come from-fantastic-DOAB does the BEST cover of this song-I was happy to see Ray Benich on the video-is this the Odeon in 2000? Please reply Bobsblue-I am so happy to see DOAB performing!I know this is not from April. 2007 cuz Benich wasn't there, unfortunately-it's great to see the original group together-they were one of the best bands that hardly anyone has heard of-I am still a big fan of their music and of Ray Benich's solo efforts-check out his music and website!

  • This was from the Odeon show in 2000, wish we could have also filmed the show at the Rock Hall Of Fame the night before. Will be posting more vids from the Odeon soon.
