It seems you all are ether flaming those that play mmos or are in denial. I am a WoW addict, and I realize this. I also have a general addiction to the computer itself. I can play 10 hours a day or longer if I wanted to with only breaks to use the bathroom & eat. I am trying to break this habit, forcing myself to not get on till the afternoons, and I have gotten myself on a normal sleep schedule.

It's not just WoW, but all MMOs, THEY ARE ADDICTIVE, no matter what.

@gir91 I used to be like this when I played WoW. But personally I don't see it as a problem, I have a fairly dislikeable personality and am a very antisocial person. WoW/computer games were and are always an escape for me and that turned into a great past time. I now am pursuing a career in game development

and have made some great friends in-game and in real life from gaming, it's also made me a more social person because I have experience from the computer that I can use outside. Sad, I know.

These games are highly addictive, I've been addicted since I started playing Final fantasy 11 around when I was 13, and Im 18 now. Before that I was a hardcore gamer still but I could stop when I wanted or had to. The MMORPG got so bad that I would break down an cry sometimes if I couldnt login, but home stress also combined with that. Anyone with an addictive personality should not play these types of games.

yo pong dong. the same stuff happened to me. on my hunter sometimes when i looted stuff or on some occasions when i used a technique my computer would go blue screen and take a while to restart. whenever i went into instances my computer crashed every minute or so. i solved the problem by getting more memory

i think you did a great job on covering this topic and i agree with the addiction aspect of mmorps as i have lost one of my best friends to the WOW...but i do think that you should of covered the positive aspects of the game also, such as kinship and strategy(decision making) in these games...really let the viewer see both sides of the story.....

I was a sophomore in college when I discovered World of Warcraft. I quickly figured out I love Azeroth much more than I love anything in the real world... so I figured why should I spend my time grinding in college when I could be grinding my character? Ever since I dropped out of college and moved back in with my parents, my depression is essentially nonexistant. If I could sit at my computer for the next 50 years of my life without having to leave it, I would. World of Warcraft for life.
