  • Dude I can barely hear you with that annoying music on in the background.

  • Building one as we speak. It's a little variant from yours, because the tripod and head I'm using is different. But it's almost identical.

  • @vbfl920 Oh cool! Are you filming it as well or? I really haven't used this much since I made this video because I have a plan for the tripod. The one in my video is very cheap. I've actually been looking towards a garage work light tripod - the ones you buy at Home Depot or the like. Reason is pretty simple - they're bulky and rugged. Very good chance you'll have a decent camera on it. Not sense using a cheap tripod. I would add that to this video. I also plan on making an entirely new one.

  • @ProjectCarTV Nah not filming it, but I WILL be using it when I shoot. Got the idea from you lol! I just dont want to have to spend the clams on a professional one.

  • do you have the plan list of what to purchase so I can go in with a shopping list for the screws and what not

  • @AntLefty No but I can. I'm making a few revisions to this.

  • Sometimes near the end , its hard to hear you because of the stupid music

  • @BladderProductions I agree. That's why I am going to edit it into a better video.

  • @ProjectCarTV I think I got the information I needed. So thank you for that. I will try to build it tonight after football.

  • could you give a link to the tripod you bought? I've been looking for a cheap tripod with a fluid head but haven't been able to find one.

  • @phinphanrocker Cheap and fluid head don't go together. The tripod I bought for this slider was less than $10 with the head. It's a mini Bower.

  • no test footage?

  • I just use an old rc car with no electronics in it :p

  • What kind of lens hood do you have on your camera?

  • Good Idea. Do you have any test shots yet. Looks like it should work nicely. Thanks for taking the time to show us how you did it.

  • @pilanceboil take a look at my original $5 slider video. Projectcartv took my design to make his. I'm guessing he didn't have any good results since he has no test video. But take a look at my video.

  • @pilanceboil I'm the original creator of the $5 slider. I have test video

  • test shots?

  • can u post a materials list

  • Very nice! I'm a welder and was thinking about making a slider at work from aluminum, but this looks like it would work great and cost much less! How is the stability?

  • @BlaineVlog Right now, not too good, but it's only because of the tripod I'm using. I havent Uploaded any footage using it because I'm going to add two more 1 x 2's. That will allow it to also be used on the ground without a tripod. The reason is to give it more usability (is that a word?) because I'll be doing a lot of car videos so I'll need it for creeper shots. Other than that, it's awesome. I may actually convert a shop light stand - more heavy duty than a cheap tripod from WalMart.

  • @ProjectCarTV Cool man, Thanks for the response!

  • @BlaineVlog No problem. I'm doing a little more work on it tomorrow.

  • Nice Jop :)

    Can you put test ?

  • @IGotSticky Well maybe a more productive YouTuber like yourself who has 3 videos with less than 200 views combined could do better? Obviously this isn't 100% finished and may go through changes even if it is 100% finished. Thats how you should do things, right? Trial and error and mostly error, right? Your comment wasn't "lol" it was stupid. Therfor, you're now blocked. Happy Birthday!

Word of advice - if you want any sort of success on YouTube don't be an idiot or a hater.

  • I wanna see the test. Nice job mang.

  • @JasminSTFU I'm planning on a follow up. The whole reason I'm showing this stuff is because i'll eventually incorporate it all into my car videos. I imagine when I do , I'll get all sorts of "how did you get that shot?" type questions. Plus I like to tinker. It's a boy thing I guess. LOL

  • bloody sweet work loving it makes me want to go make one but im currently make a new workbench almost 2 metres long solid as all hell

    cheers sscustoms

  • @sscustoms100 I made one of those too. It's baddass. Come complete with a vice, a sandblaster, and a turbo turbine tester. People are going to be suprised what i turn this channel into when I really start Uploading car content. The whole thing is to show what it takes to take a basic Channel and turn it into the MOST SUBSCRIBED AUTO & VEHICLES CHANNEL ON YOUTUBE.

TAKING OUT TOPGEAR IS A VERY LOFTY GOAL. BUT MY IDEA IS TO AT LEAST GET NOTICED BY THEM.

  • nice! so now that it's all setup, do you think some felt would deaden some of the slide sound and/or help the slide smoothness?

  • @Knoptop It slides pretty smooth right now. The broom handles are coated and are much small diameter than the PVC T's. I have a few different ideas and I may change some things around, felt may be in the future. I havent filmed anything with it yet, so I'm not sure how much sound comes through when it slides.

  • Okay I checked and you don't have a "without a camera slider" video VS a "with a camera slider" video. I seriously am curious about what benefit it is for you, AND how to hold it when filming. I suppose I could check here on YouTube, but I like your video style, and why not. :)

  • @notellyearight1 I'll be making a follow up to this tomorrow. It's been hectic at work and convenientlky I hurt my back yesterday. Word of advice - if an engine block start to fell off an engine stand - just let it drop. I tried to catch it and paid the price. The good thing is that I got a good script for Valium and Norco. I feel liek I'm walking of pudding right now.

  • @ProjectCarTV WHOA! HUGE BUMMER! Ya know....that quick thinking comes from going THROUGH those experiences, and your reflexes slow down, which helps as you get older, but it's a HARD lesson to REMEMBER! Better REST up those muscles!!! It's all about "RICE" Rest-Ice-Compress-Elevate....what's THAT tell ya? Sorry Man :(

  • @notellyearight1 I was thinking BEER. Better Enjoy Everyday Rightnow

I think it sounded good! LOL

  • ALRIGHT!!!! SO cool! I sure hope you got a view coming with how it works when filming! lol Grrrrrreat Video!!! Wow! = ))

  • if i get my car fixed ill attempt to build one this week. thanks for the video

  • @lawaiia808 Build one anyways. Check out some of the slider videos on YouTube. There are some really good ones. Check my featured video on my Channel. There was a lot of slider footage.

  • test footage?

  • @xDjAsOnF Not yet. I spent most of my day today running around. I'll do a follow up with diffrerent filter lenses as well.

  • jesus, fkn good looking!!!

  • @ger6111 A brand name slider goes for $300 on the low end on up to $500+

  • @ProjectCarTV ...lol, cool, lol
