Jerry is a fifth cousin to Elvis Presley. This is a fact that can be easily verified on various internet websites. Simply start by looking at Elvis's mother's family tree. You will find in her lineage a Phillip Tackett that the exact same Phillip Tackett in Jerry Tackett's lineage(a common great- great-great-great grandfather). I you do the proper count, it makes Jerry and Elvis 5th cousins. Two great talents that are no longer with us.
