I had a 1996 620Si as a company car. I was doing 4,000 miles a month in it between 1999-2000. Never let me down and was a pleasure to drive. If it had been a VW, BMW or Merc its reliability would have been raved about but because it was a Rover nobody gave it the time of day. British self-loathing is sickening sometimes.

I Had a 820 auto V6 and heres a list of what went bad (I serviced it every 8 months, got a MG garage to do it):

Starter motor X2

Shift solinoidsX1

Full gearbox rebuild £1299! X1

new dashboard X1

Battery X3

Lamba sensors X8

Head gasket X1

Front ofside wishbone X1

And all that in 5 years of ownership, i Also have a Mercedes-Benz E300TD, its had a new set of front bushes, and thats in 6 years of ownership even the Benz battery is still holding charge.
