  • That is f'in strong

  • yell at the weight some more

  • such bad technique, i feel bad for your lower back/lumbar spine

  • @markyc92 Your joking right? This is a proper clean not the stuff you see on youtube with people catching the weight with their feet out wide and backs arched backwards. When you catch a clean in the hole (bottom of the front squat) you primarily use your legs to squat the weight upward. Your lower back is in a very stable position if your chest is raised (which his is). This is a lot better for your spine than powerlifting style squats were your chest drops forward during the ascent.

  • very impressive , but why do it in running shoes?

  • does are not bumper plates

  • I want to see this lift in planet fitness... grunts, drops the weight from 5 feet

  • @TimpBizkit i did lol the guy came from the front and was like 'i can hear you all the way from the front' so i told him i would put the bar down more gently and he was like that exercise isnt allowed i said ok. Did 4 more sets and onthe last rep i jerked it and dropped it from overhead lol gave him a smirk on the way out

  • @utgorn12 that lift isnt allowed?? ARE YOU SERIOUS BRO?

  • @TimpBizkit planet fitness isn't a gym. That's playground for seniors

  • Niiiice.

  • 0:09 thats the point where either you pussy out or get that shit up

  • in gym shoes... wow.

  • I love how people are making a big deal out of him psyching himself up to move the weight. Go back to your planet fitness with a "meathead" button and admire you girlish figures in the mirror.

  • This guys a monster

  • nice lift bro!

  • Comment removed

  • awesome lift dude

  • 28 pusssy weak hating ass pussy that don't know how to lift

  • It also looks like he's also doing it in squishy running shoes, which makes it even more impressive.

  • that was some pretty damn good force coming off the ground and into the catch.

  • thats john kalans the sick shot putter from monmouth correct??

  • nice job man!

  • fucking monster

  • Can someone check my channel 89306Greka did 205 making sure I did it right thanks

  • Great job guy! I bet you have a nasty front squat as well..

  • Hell yea, get pumped for your goal! Whether its 200 or 400 pounds its a PR! I hate when ppl knock others PERSONAL BESTS! Ppl can be calm before the storm or get fuckin wired up! Got me ready to Squat Clean & Jerk a fuckin house after seein this! GOOD WORK!

  • lol the 5lb popped out

  • well dont talk shit on ppl just because they are better than you....

  • I don't know if you heard me counting.. I did over 1000

  • @IPFR33LY59 Lol that was on tv yesterday.

  • i have to be able to squat 400 pounds first haha. then i might try this :p

  • @angelfm10 True. After he caught it, you can see some movements on his lower legs. The tell-tale sign that his elbows most likely touched his knees on the catch. This is a DQ.

  • Very impressive.

His back was slightly out of form on the recovery which caused his center of mass to tip forward, hence the loss of balance toward the end(watch his feet). However, at heavy loads, slight imperfections are common. Overall, a good lift.

  • i shout when i do deadlift, too

    lightweight!

  • @Ghahu

    Too bad he's not deadlifting...

  • Bet you he tears his girlfriend apart with hip explosion like that from cleaning lol!

  • idiot american......

  • @rakoonloufa88 ya like you could do half that....

  • @dkm1ller fuck u

  • Whoa. Is he wearing running shoes instead of weightlifting shoes? Amazing...

  • keep on pressing 8 and you'll see why you put clips on your bars mate

  • he held it up for lik 2.5 seconds tho

  • @jjcool472 LOL holding the weight while standing up takes little to no energy. he could hold 400lbs on his shoulders for an hour if he wanted to. i love how all these guys who never lifted before says weightlifting is all about BALANCE and SPEED. wtf does that mean lol. no, weightlifting is mainly about strength. you dont really need perfect technique either

  • @jakebrigand its all strength and then mentally knowing you can do it cause if you think you'll fail you will lol

  • Pretty good form actually. Almost dropped it but hung on. I did like 265 or 275 in HS and thought I was a bad ass.

  • Nice lift man. I'm so tired of people commenting on things they know nothing about. There are very few people that can Clean 400 lbs.

  • holy shit

  • @TheOmegaEffect That's the same age I did your mom. Is that ok?

  • horrible form but that was impressive

  • @DRiFTiN661 would you care to explain what was wrong with his form?

  • @DRiFTiN661 Nobody cleans 400lbs with horrible form.

  • lol plate flew off when he threw it down. nice.

  • ok, now what

  • SICCCKK! Heavy!

  • Where are you lifting at here?

  • hope he doesnt go to planet fitness... he would get yelled at =P

  • @kanderson96 hahaha fucking bell lol

  • Great explosion man, very powerful, wish I could do that much, this video just motivates me to hit the gym even harder. Thanks.

  • I like how the one ring just pops off when the bar lands.

  • good job man

  • Awesome lift, could go higher if you planted your heels

  • you actually are one of the few non-olympic lifters that did a clean correctly. a lot of idiots and sports teams showing off have lifts with people doing splits to get low enough, using straps, and resting the weight on their hips and humping it up. Also ppl think reps of certain weight means a certain max. So it was nice to see a good clean with good form and no cheating. Im only 4 years late on the comment

  • love the intensity

  • beautiful

  • @krb0123 I could'nt agree with you more my man.

  • HOLY SHIT!!! im only 15 years old and i can only do 225!!

and i go allllll the way down just like that

  • @eminem52ableable Really? If so, that's incredibly impressive and you should be proud of yourself.

  • i'm taking that's not a planet fitness gym

  • he just power cleaned 400 pounds he can do whatever the fuck he wants

  • @meowmixmeowmix23 power cleaned?

  • @meowmixmeowmix23 more like full clean

  • @meowmixmeowmix23 he cleaned 400 pounds, he didn't power clean it lol.

  • @MyThelema newsflash a powerclean and clean are basically the same thing

  • @meowmixmeowmix23 no not really

  • @meowmixmeowmix23 Newsflash, a power clean is a clean without squatting down after it, while a clean is when you catch the weight in the bottom. The difference can be 20 kgs (44 lbs)

  • @meowmixmeowmix23 It wasn't a power clean. The point is still valid.

  • @meowmixmeowmix23 full cleaned*

  • @meowmixmeowmix23 he cleaned it not power-cleaned it.

  • FUCKKKKKK YEA!.... new pre-workout supplement...watch this video

  • fuck that, this guy is cool. he excited guys, thats intensity right there. he pimped the fuck outta that weight. nothing wrong with a little swagger in cleaning 400 fucking pounds! huge props from me big guy!

  • whoever is calling this guy a douche is a moron. with a lift that heavy you have to hype yourself up, to get max lifts your mental state is just as important as your physical state.

  • @imsean90 your mental state is like twice as important as your physical state lol

  • @imsean90

Agreed. As a matter of fact for maxes, your mental state is more important than your physical state. Unfortunately though, most weak motherfuckers will never understand this.

  • @imsean90 Absolutely, mental focus is extremely hard to attain, especially with such a complex exercise where form is a bare necessity.

  • @imsean90 EXACTLY!!!!! im 15 and cleaing 230. the guys wer givng me shit bcause i took 10 mins to get pumped when i beat our school freshman record by 30lbs..

  • @dkm1ller nobody gives a shit.

  • @imsean90 I have never seen Taranenko or Pisarenko doing this.

  • @imsean90 Nope. Learn to train without it

  • @imsean90 You don't HAVE to do anything. There are tons of guys who dont make noise doing those kinds of lifts, and harder. Ever watch the olympics?

  • @ALJR223 sure you do, everyone has different ways of mentally hyping themselves up...some more quiet then others but not everyone is the same. yeah a lot of olympic lifters are quiet before a heavy lift but again you don't know what they are doing before they step up to the mat, and maybe they can simply get themselves pumped just mentally. but also take a look at scot mendelsons 715 lbs raw bench press. he had his wife slap him in the face. everyone's different, but you can't bash this guy.

  • @ALJR223 Um, you pretty much just agreed with me. I NEVER said you don't have to do something. I said you don't HAVE to do something specific, like yelling. You made it sound like it was par for the course.

  • Comment removed

  • how can anyone say anything about thislift that wasnear perfection

  • Surprisingly impressive form

  • hahahaha! the little weight just flew off at the end XD

  • that was power clean not hang clean but whatever... still very impressive

  • @bcbk20

That ain't power clean, it's simply clean.. If you go under 90degree knee/hip angle , that's clean..

  • Its called hardcore training ;)

  • Damn

  • @MultiBoy1995 I think children from india have better english than you. Stop trolling on comments and read some twilight :)

  • good shit

  • @MultiBoy1995 what makes you think im fat ? everyone that says this guy's a douche are fat ? use your tiny brain please . yeah go troll on the other hundred saying this guy's a douche .

  • @ilusq Why's he a douche? Cause he can do something you cant? Real cool bro.

  • @tastefulphrasing No "douche" seen in video. Almost 66% as much as the heaviest known clean ever made. Plenty of men can't dead lift one end of the 400 pounds.

  • what a tool lmao. "HAAAAAA LETS GO! AAAAAH!" the weight isnt scared of you dude.

  • @TheCodyTube Shut the fuck up man, and go pull on some cables you bitch.

  • @tastefulphrasing hahahaha why does everyone think there tough watching lifting videos.... god... honestly... im just not even gonna get into it because no matter what i say your response is gonna be " pussy pussy pusssy bitch im tough roar"

  • @tastefulphrasing ps ill pull on your moms saggy titties :) prolly give me a nice workout

  • @tastefulphrasing and just in a last ditch effort to shut you the fuck up , the guy doesnt properly clean the weight , youre supposed to hold on to it and then let it down to the ground not drop it from your chest , its part of the work out to hold onto it.....

  • @TheCodyTube youre a fucking idiot learn how to power lift before u right ignorant shit

  • @dend5621 you mean write? now you look like the fucking idiot..

  • @TheCodyTube Yeah holding on to it doing is fine if you have are lifting half that weight. The amount of weight being cleaned could cause serious injury to the guy if he held on to it while dropping from the chest. Go ahead and try to hold on to a 400 pound power clean and see what happens

  • @thebusch yeah except that clearly means he cant control the weight so obviousley if you cant control the weight in the lift than youre not doing the lift. Im not gonna deny the the guy is bigger than me cuz my maxo n hang clean is 205 ( i squat and bench mostly ) but if youre strong enough to drop the weight than you can lift that weight, if you cant let it down than it was never meant to be. therefore he shouldnt be clenaing 400 ib

  • @TheCodyTube Tell that to every Olympic weightlifter in the world. Hell, it would probably be dangerous to try and let that down with control, especially with a snatch. Besides, it's a waste of energy to try and put it down softly; the point is to get it up, not down. You don't have to lower it gently in a meet either (even though this guy's a shotputter, IIRC) , so why should you bother?

  • @xjusticex2013x why would u do weight like that than O.0 no one sees the point i ma trying to make. To be honest calling a guy a tool for screaming isnt really a point to be made anyway. however when someone wants to argue its fairly simple to point out theres nothing special about doing 400ibs on a hang clean when you cant even actually do the clean, a clean is, you get the weight up you let it down and you repeat if you cant rep the weightu prolly shouldnt be doing it in the first place...

  • @TheCodyTube Look in the title. He doesn't rep the weight because it's a MAX. Do you understand the concept of max effort training? Many o-lifters do singles exclusively because that's what they do in competition (again, he isn't one, but still) and reps can throw off their technique. Also, considering that it's 400 POUNDS, it IS arguably pretty special. If you get it up, you just cleaned it. Done. That's why they have bumper plates to begin with. It's a clean, not a "clean and lower gently."

  • @TheCodyTube

Hahaha wtf you're a dipshit, theres no clean that requires you to lower the weight and repeat it. It's a fucking max power clean you dipshit, not a hangclean, learn your shit faggot

  • @Canabaha a fuckin power clean u hit the weight of the floor before you clean it ...learn your shit . im removing my comments because to be honest this is just annoyig -_-

  • @TheCodyTube

hahahah wtf are you talkin bout kid? you have to hit the weight of the floor? you're an absolute fucking retard and you clearly know shit all about cleans and probably weightlifting in general, gtfo

  • @TheCodyTube Where do you get your info? Somebody is lying to you. I have heard a lot of people call a Clean a power clean but I have NEVER heard that crap before. Call it what ever you want. I call it impressive.

  • @TheCodyTube SERIOUSLY?!!! Nobody is Hang Cleaning in this video, and a 400lb Hang Clean, Power Clean or any Clean at all is VERY impressive. There are maybe 200 people in the US that can Clean 400 lbs.

  • @TheCodyTube He controlled the weight by using a complex combination of compound movements to overcome physics and gravity to stand up with 400lbs!!! THAT IS THE DEFINITION OF CONTROL!

  • @TheCodyTube Can you tell me what makes you an expert on Olympic Weightlifting? There are probably 200 people in the country that can Clean 400lbs and this guy does it flawlessly. Typical gym etiquette does not apply in Olympic Style Weightlifting. I would consider the Olympics a pretty good standard of strength. Seriously why are you even watching and commenting on lifting videos. Stick to weird music.

  • @MultiBoy1995 stfu you're like 16 .

  • that guy might be the biggest douche i've ever seen

  • These people talkin shit about this guy yellin are completly pathetic, This man just cleaned 400 pounds with a solid lift and your cryin cuz hes pumpin himself up this aint no pussy lift.

  • nice lift!

  • it's alot better video with the volume off

  • what a fuckin retard

  • What a fucking chode.

  • I wish you would just yell more.

  • I was expecting a power clean, which would have been impressive, but a squat clean? This guy is beastin'.

  • RAW

  • DAMNNNN

  • you have the same exact training equipment that i have at my high school.......It sucks for bench because the bench makes your head stick off the other end..Very Uncomfortable...btw nice clean max

  • the only time he really should of screamed was during the pull, or the squat up...

  • @jkiller0094 Where are your 400lb clean vids, since you know everything about lifting? It takes a warrior mindset to lift heavy like this. There's only so much the body can do without having your mind in the right place. Sometimes you need to yell to pysche yourself up.

  • @oogabubchub Your right, your right, haha. I'm just being an ass, and I JUST hit 200 on cleans so I don't really have room to talk.. haha. I do have a lot of respect for this lift.

  • Amazing clean dude. Rock on!

  • for fuck sake let the man rage out i cant stand thouse skinny bastard curling their 7 pounds for 10 reps doing tssss tssss tssss each rep thumb me up if u agree!

  • @muzimuzi lmfaooooo at

tsssss tssssss tsssss....... itz funny coz itz truuu

  • @latinoloko33 never thought id get so many thumbs up =P

  • @muzimuzi

Never seen a 7lb dumbell anywhere

or the people like you that think they're big. . .

  • @JayPull85 I never claimed to be big neither to be very strong but i deffointly respect these guys much more than some twats that go to the gym to put a "Check" under thier daily diary , which i will be guessing you are not one of, but dont support thouse....... and my gym has a 7lb/3KG DB for the record

  • weak back

  • Nice Clean! Love the intensity.

  • Impressive lift!! But as for the screaming? I hope your in a school gym around team mates. Becasue people that scream in public gyms, are attention whores, and that is very embarrassing. I keep death metal in my ipod to pump me up, so I dont have to scream like a douche in the gym.

  • wheres the lunk alarm

  • @broshed haha He's the one lifting ....

  • Surprisingly good form, keep it up

  • Nice to not see about twenty jocks giving you high fives and screaming at you when you pulled it off.

  • @stratocaster1986able but screaming like a retard by yourself instead? id take the jocks.

  • @jrrsas Cool, who cares? People do things to get pumped, to overcome the fear of doing things. Who the fuck are you to criticize them?

  • a spotter would push him forward if he couldnt get it, allowing it not to drop on either

  • respect!

  • i'ma start cussing out the bar before i lift now..

  • He knows how to put his ass down!!! Good clean

  • ok dude... great job.. just don't hurt me >.>

  • Weight lifting is for real men??

I also likes to lift weights but i just havent so so great powers either like on those guys who ...crazy wow1

  • 46 people have no idea what they are talking about concerning weight belts.

  • Hey nice work!!

  • very nice. I like the flying weight at 0:12

  • uhhh, why is everyone trying to put this guy down. first of all, his form is great with or without belt.. and second, read the fuckn title "400 clean max" the reason he is yelling is to pych himself up and get int eh zone... kudos bro! that was a mean clean.

  • why no jerk?

  • Very nice good work

  • @JMERT21 please dont feed the troll

  • hahaha, did anyone else notice the plate flying off the end of the bar when he threw it down?

  • Impressive, good form.

  • The beginning of this video is a perfect setup for a lifting fail vid.. all revved up and ready, bad ass hoot and a holler.. awesome lift but still kind of disappointed

  • i can clean 400 and im 13 only 202lbs and dope free. XD

  • @13andincrediblycut your a fucking pussy

  • @youngeebs And you're a loser.

  • @13andincrediblycut i doubt your only 13 and can power clean 400, unless you bounce it off the ground or if youve been lifting since youve been 5, because i know division 1 d lineman and o lineman that are 22 that have been lifting since 8th grade that cant power clean 400 yet. if you can than i have respect, but im just saying i highly doubt it and youre probably a liar. id like to see this, because most 13 year olds are 7th or early 8th grade, i fucking doubt your power cleaning 400

  • @13andincrediblycut No, but you are a little bitch

  • This guy is a fucking douche.
