@chainlinkray Do you not realize that Link Wray, along with all the others that hardly or don't have anything there at all, may not want their stuff at the Hall of Fame in the first place? Hendrix's and Elvis's stuff are there because of their families. And Bob Dylan's quite the introvert. The folks who's stuff is there are initially who gets the money--not the owners. You obviously have never been there. Judging things you haven't a clue about; how foolish. Then again, you are very ignorant.
@chainlinkray "Madonna! What a joke! What a joke! What a joke! What a joke!" You sound like 4 year old throwing a tantrum 'cause his mommy wouldn't get him a new G.I. Joe toy. Having his guitar there is an embarrassment? So you're saying that he is an embarrassment to the rest of those staged there? Well, looks like the joke's on you. And the whole "nuff said" everyone is using is just a trendy texting saying. It's getting old and it shows your lack of a mature vocabulary....(Cont.)
@anthonyaranda Don't get me wrong I love his timing- it's one of the things that distinguishes Link from the pack. As a player, though, it's difficult to replicate. You'll notice that many covers of his music change small aspects of timing. The Belmont Playboys do a cover of this song that doesn't quite wait as long as he does. Link's the best. I have a surf / punk instro band and half of our set is usually Link Wray.
@bigeeezy it's unreal how much variation there is in versions of Rumble. The tempo varies a lot. There's versions that I wonder what Link's comments about them would be. One thing for sure he wasn't just "playing his hit", he was doing it as reflected by the then and now, sometimes good sometimes not so good... like the weather. Reminds me of Neil Young.
This is the sound of teenage vocational education.

Just one of the many great tunes in "Pulp Fiction" Of course, it was around 20 + years before they even thought about shooting the movie.
