  • I recall seeing the Harmonicats in something like 1972 Wildwood NJ. I was 7 and it was pretty damn cool.

  • the original Harmonicats are no longer alive the last to pass was in 1996... this group trademarked the name to carry on the great tradition of harmonica playing and keeping the music alive... all have performed with the originals

  • I agree Movint!Hearing him play through my years of growing up, hearing him perform now & sitting in playing with our pro jazz group, conducting clinics/performances my middle SOTA music students, playing yearly at harmonica conventions (winning awards), my dad is well established/respected for perpetuating the artform of harmonica music at the highest level!

  • Is this the group that was on the Ed Sullivan show many years ago? If it is I seem to remember a little guy as a fourth member that was kicked around a bit.

  • the harmonicats were on the Ed Sullivan several times but the group with the little guy was called the Harmonica Gang (aka. Harmonica Rascals) the original members have long since passed but the group and their music lives on to entertain today...

  • An excellent video of 3 MOST EXCELLENT musicians.

You should see & hear them live in concert! My dad, Frank Warner, is the bassist!

  • lisa: Frank Warner is not only an excellent bassist but also a great lead player as well as a chord player, his sense of music is makes him one of the best.

  • I agree!Hearing him play through my years of growing up, hearing him perform now, & sitting in playing with our pro jazz group,my dad is well established & respected for perpetuating the artform of harmonica music at the highest level!

  • An excellent video of 3 VERY EXCELLENT musicians! You should see & hear them live in concert! My dad, Frank Warner, is the bassist.

  • Bassist is the most difficult part to play. Look at him, he has to jump an inch or two in between each blow :)

  • too bad someone hasn't more videos of this very different group! i've loved them for years.

  • this is outstanding!! ive just purchased the Borrah Minevitch & his harmonica rascals + jerry Murads Harmonicats CD its amazing!!
