Don't confuse a government and a whole culture/ethnicity. This movie is based on the time period in which a lot of foreign powers decided to take advantage of the weak political China was in. Japan was one of it, and here we see some Chinese people standing up to one of the foreign powers. Also, your example is very very poor. Humans alone killed off forests and wildlife in order for them to make environment suit themselves. Maybe you should consider yourself as being terrible now.
